It is therefore guaranteed that if you are looking for a rural retreat which offers spectacular views and plenty of tranquillity, then a Barrocal holiday should be one of the options at the very top of your list. As well as those wonderful views and plenty of peace away from the tourist masses, a fantastic Barrocal holiday rental cottage will provide you with all of the amenities you need to ensure that your stay in the area is as perfect as it could be.
The advantage of booking a Barrocal holiday is that it is the ideal get-away-from-it-all destination. Situated in a rural area in the Algarve region of Portugal, travellers can simply spend the day relaxing in the sun in the comfort of their fantastic Barrocal holiday rental house. If you are feeling a little more energetic then there are some popular activities available in the immediate surroundings of the area including hiking, trail walking, swimming, fishing, tennis and golf.
If you decide to spread your wings and explore some more of the fantastic country that is Portugal, then it is recommended that you head on up to the wonderful city of Beja which is approximately 75 miles away from the Barrocal area. Here visitors can get a slice of the old Portugal with a 13th century castle sitting atop a large hill, a regional museum which is housed in a beautiful old convent with many great exhibits such as 16th century Flemish paintings and a Visigothic Museum housed in one of only four pre-Romanesque churches left in the whole of the country.
Weather is an important factor of any holiday and a Barrocal holiday is no exception. The warm climate lasts pretty much all year round with the daytime temperature reaching as high as 24 degrees Celsius during the months of July and August. The winter months see the temperature fall to around 16 degrees Celsius at the lowest during the daytime and as low as 10 degrees Celsius as the evenings start to draw in. The annual rainfall amount for the town is around 13 inches.
