Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA) in Managua is approximately 30 miles from Granada. It has direct flights from some U.S airports including Atlanta (ATL), Houston (IAH) and Miami (MIA). Visitors from other countries can go to Miami International Airport (MIA) before getting a connecting flight to Nicaragua. There are flights to Miami from Frankfurt (FRA), London-Heathrow (LHW), Madrid (MAD), Munich (MUC), Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Zurich (ZRH) amongst other cities. When in Nicaragua, visitors can hire taxis from the airport and there are car rental firms also available.
