Italy is rich with history and great archaeological features and Cerveteri is a fantastic base to see many of these wonderful places. There are a number of interesting places to visit in the region including the Etruscan Necropolis at Cerveteri, which is an archaeological site. An old castle in Cerveteri also houses a museum with some finds from the archaeological digs.
An hour long bus journey takes passengers to Rome, which is filled with fantastic attractions and ancient buildings. Perhaps the most famous attraction in Rome is the Colloseum, but there are also many galleries and museums in the Italian capital as well.

Rainfall in July is minimal with the highest average per around 300mm, which generally occurs in October and November. The coldest months are December to February when the average low is approximately 5 degrees centigrade.
Leonardo da Vinci-Flumicino Airport in Rome is approximately half an hour’s drive from Cerveteri. There are flights to and from domestic and major European cities such as Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Brussels, London, Madrid, Paris and Vienna. Flights are also available to countries outside Europe such as China, Canada, United States and Japan. Car hire firms are located at the airport as well as taxis. To reach Cerveteri from Rome visitors can take the Metro Line A in Rome to the Lepanto stop. From Via Lepanto visitors can catch a CoTral bus to Cerveteri.
