Holidaymakers looking for a wonderful vacation any time of the year will find the Alta Pusteria area in Northern Italy fits the bill. This holiday region in the eastern part of South Tyrol provides great winter and summer activities for holidaymakers. Holidaymakers can enjoy a day trip to some other great Italian cities such as Venice, which is a three hour drive away. Milan is about four hours away via the A22 and A4 roads and features some magnificent buildings, not to mention plenty of shops. The temperature in Northern Italy does not get as hot in summer as the south, but average maximums in Alta Pusteria are around 29 degrees centigrade in July and August. Temperatures normally stay in the 20 degree centigrade area between May and September. October is usually the wettest month of the year with an average of 110 mm rainfall. The ski resorts get plenty of snowfall in the winter months.
