Located on the north-eastern coast of the exotic island of Bali is the small village of Air Sanih. If you are looking for a holiday that offers rest and relaxation then an Air Sanih holiday rental house provides the perfect opportunity to take it easy. The village is hidden away from the mass tourism of the island and has some of the most stunning scenery on the whole of Bali.
An Air Sanih holiday is all about rest and relaxation so there are less “energetic” activities available compared to other surrounding towns and villages. Visitors will find that there is a lovely, unspoilt beach which is perfect for sunbathing or walking. There are a few watersports available at the beach including scuba diving and fishing. In the immediate area of the village visitors can enjoy cycling, hiking and mountain biking. Air Sanih has several resorts and wellness centres that are perfect for meditation, massages or spa treatments.
If you feel like venturing out from your Air Sanih holiday rental house, then a visit to the nearby town of Singaraja is enjoyable. This town used to be the Dutch capital during the Colonial era and is the second largest town on the whole of the island. Due to its Dutch occupation there are many quaint townhouses in the Colonial style to be seen here, particularly down by the old harbour.
One of the most important temples on the island of Bali, the Pura Dalem, can be found in Singaraja. It is a beautiful building to look at with intricate and prominent reliefs to be found in the inner temple and on the outer walls. Visitors should also take the time to visit the Gedong Kirtya Library. Situated in the old palace of the Buleleng Kingdom, the library is home to a unique item, namely the Lontar manuscripts. The text has been written on dried leaves from the rontal palm and includes information about Black Magic and religion.
Visitors to Air Sanih can enjoy warm weather most of the year round thanks to a tropical climate. There are two distinct seasons, namely dry and wet. The dry season lasts from April to November and offers up average daytime temperatures of 28°C. The wet season runs from December until March and although there is some precipitation, it is quickly dried up by the heat.
To start your Air Sanih holiday, you will arrive at Denpasar Airport (DPS) in the south of the island, approximately 96 kilometres from the village. There are no direct flights to Air Sanih but several airlines offer cheap flights such as Qantas Airways, Singapore Airlines, KLM and Jetstar. Travellers can depart from several airports in the UK including Gatwick (LGW), London Heathrow (LHR), Edinburgh (EDI), Glasgow (GLA) and Manchester (MAN).
