Still standing from the 16th century are the Pasha Memi Baths, situated on one of the city?s most enjoyable pedestrian streets, Ferencesek utcája. These are the ruins of three beautiful churches. Originally built in the 11th century is the Basilica in Dom ter, a structure of four majestic towers dedicated to St. Peter. This particular monument has undergone plenty of renovation and most of what is seen by visitors today was built in 1881. Other relics worth checking out are the Jug Mausoleum which dates back to the 4th century and the Havi-hegy chapel which was built in 1691. To help visitors connect the dots of Baranya County?s history is the Janus Pannonius Archaeology Museum which incidentally was the 17th century home of a janissary commander.
