Anyone looking to get away to a fun but also historic part of Southern France should take a vacation in the commune of St-Laurent-la-Vernede. This is a great place to spend a holiday with lots to do and see within the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The weather between May and September is generally very warm with the average in July and August around 26 degrees centigrade, although temperatures can reach as high as 35 degrees. July is also very dry but the rest of the summer can see a few showers. Winters are cool and wet with December, January and February the coldest months with an average low of 5 degrees centigrade.
Nimes Airport (FNI) is approximately one hour’s drive from St-Laurent-la-Vernede and has flights to and from Brussels South Charleroi (CRL) and Luton (LTN). There are car rental firms located at the public arrivals area of the airport. An alternative for visitors from other parts of Europe is to fly to Montpellier - Méditerranée Airport (MPL), which is approximately one hour and 30 minutes from St-Laurent-la-Vernede and has flights to and from various cities across Europe including Brussels (BRU), Frankfurt (FRA), London-Gatwick (LGW) and Madrid (MAD).
