Anyone searching for a great holiday destination in the south of France should try the beautiful but peaceful village of Montrejeau. Located in the Midi-Pyrenees region less than an hour from the border with Spain, this commune provides a great base for holidaymakers to find plenty of things to see and do. About 16 kilometres away is the Montmaurin Gallo-Roman Villa and a little further still is the fascinating old village of Mont d’Astarac. Toulouse is well worth a visit and is just over one hour’s drive away via the A64 road. Here visitors will find many interesting places such as the zoo and safari park, the cathedral and several museums. The spiritual retreat at Lourdes is just 50 minutes away and is a popular destination for Christians.
