The town of Issigeac has many stone houses which date back to medieval times, along with the timber-framed homes of 14th century Issigeac. The Palace of the Bishops of Sarlat is an impressive 17th century palace and a beautiful example of French architecture.

Bergerac - The lovely town of Bergerac has, among other points of interest, a number of museums. The Musée du Vin et de la Batellerie celebrates the wine trade and the historic river transport with models of boats and old photographs. There is also a section on barrel making and wine.
