Holidaymakers looking for a fun vacation near the coast might like to try the town of Caen in northern France. Located in the Calvados department within the region of Normandy, this area has many things for tourists to see and do. Paris-Orly Airport (ORY) is approximately 250 kilometres from Caen and has flights arriving from numerous international airports. These include Athens (ATH), Barcelona (BCN), Berlin-Tegel (TXL), Lisbon (LIS), London-City (LCY), London-Heathrow (LHW), Madrid (MAD), Rome-Fiumicino (FCO), Vienna (VIE), Washington-Dulles (IAD) and Zurich (ZRH) amongst others. Avis, Europcar, Hertz, National Citer, Peugeot Open Europe, Sixt and TT Car Transit are car rentals firms located at the airport. Alternatively, visitors from the UK can catch a ferry from Portsmouth to Ouistreham and take a 30 minute drive to Caen.
