Limassol Castle should be your first port of call. Located at the harbour of the city, this 14th century castle towers over the sea on the site of an original Byzantine castle. Within its walls is a medieval museum, crammed with historical and interesting artefacts. Limassol Castle is also known to be the place where the Crusader Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria of Navarre.
For those who seek a bit more activity, venture on down to Evdimou Beach. This stretch of sandy shore is perfect for a spot of sunbathing. Water activities such as swimming, jet skiing and parasailing are also available.
