Kosharitsa is a quaint little village and is located near to numerous interesting attractions. Nearby is the ancient town of Nessebar is a town-museum which has kept the ruins of the old Roman town Mesemvria and features old churches and a lovely harbour. Visitors can take a boat trip along the Ropotamo River and see the thick forest along its banks. The Strandja Mountains in the southern part of the region of Burgas is the biggest natural park in Bulgaria and has an extremely large natural collection of flora and fauna. Burgas is about 50 minutes away and has some interesting places to visit. These include the Archaeological Museum, the Open Air Theatre and the Sea Garden Sculpture Park.

The weather in this part of Bulgaria is very warm between June and September when the average temperatures are around 25 degrees centigrade. In July average temperatures are as high as 30 degrees centigrade with up to 11 hours of sunshine per day. The winters on the east coast are milder than inland with temperatures as high as 10 degrees centigrade although it may feel cooler with the easterly winds from Russia. The annual rainfall is low and quite evenly distributed throughout the year.
