Temperatures in the Tyrol region of Austria vary sharply during the year with July the hottest month. The average maximum is 25 degrees centigrade in July with June and August almost as hot. December and January are the coldest months with temperatures regularly dipping below zero degrees centigrade and a good deal of snowfall occurs too. Ironically June and July also have the most rainy days per month.
The biggest airport in the Tirol and the nearest to Wilder Kaiser-Brixental is Innsbruck Kranebitten Airport, which is approximately 70 kilometres away. The airport handles regional flights around Austria and Germany as well as seasonal flights from other European destinations including London-Gatwick, Amsterdam, Dublin and Moscow-Sheremetyevo. Car rental offices are located in the main hall and on the ground floor of the multi-story car park. Alternatively Munich Airport is about 100 kilometres away and handles more flights to and from cities such as Amsterdam, London, Paris, Madrid, New York, Toronto and many more. Again there are car rental firms located at the airport.
