Abtenau is a wonderful market town located in the south-eastern part of Austria. In terms of culture one definite attraction to visit in the town is the Celtic Museum. Situated in the old orphanage of Hallein, visitors can see a reconstructed Celtic farmstead with all of the tools and equipment used. There is also a replica of a Celtic burial chamber based on a grave found in the area of the Durrnberg salt mine.
