Here there are fine sights such as the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, the Federation Concert Hall, the oldest synagogue in Australia and the unique Tasman Bridge.
The warmest time of the year in this part of Tasmania is January and February with average high temperatures of 22 degrees centigrade. The coldest month is July when average highs are 12 degrees centigrade and average lows are 4 degrees. Rainfall is fairly evenly spread throughout the year but December on average is the wettest month with 54mm, while June is the driest with an average of 31mm.
Hobart International Airport (HBA) is close to the south east coast of Tasmania and receives flights from Brisbane (BNE), Melbourne (MEL) and Sydney (SYD) as well as other Australian airports. Visitors from outside Australia can fly to Melbourne and get a connecting flight to Hobart.
