Las Ramblas, not to be confused with Las Rambla in the heart of Barcelona, is a spacious, green golf resort in the heart of the Orihuela Costa in Alicante, Spain. Of the three famous golf courses in the area, (Las Ramblas, Villamartin and Campoamor), Las Ramblas is considered to be the most challenging, attracting players from across the globe.
Golf is of course the focus of life from a Las Ramblas property. The huge 18 golf course at the development’s centre has delightfully wide, undulating fairways surrounded by thick woodland, glorious views of the Mediterranean and deep water obstacles, a round at the Las Ramblas is a pleasure, even in the heat of summer. If you arrive at Las Ramblas accommodation feeling a little rusty, you can blow away the cobwebs in the driving range, on the practice greens or in the practice bunkers which surround the lavish clubhouse. There is even a Las Ramblas golf school if you would like to improve your swing or even learn the game whilst you are staying in a Las Ramblas apartment or villa.
Taking accommodation in Las Ramblas does not resign you to a week of golf! The glorious beaches of Campoamor and Cabo Roig are within just a 3km walk of a Las Ramblas apartment. With 16km of beaches, the Orihuela Costa is one of the best places to take a beach holiday, no matter what your preference in beaches is. With Europe wide fame, the blue flag beaches of La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Campoamor, Cabo Roig, Punta Prima and Villamartin have attracted great investment which has meant that there are excellent facilities, wonderful landscaping and magnificent villas throughout the area.
There are a huge number of places to see, visit and explore in the countryside surrounding a Las Ramblas property. There are many fine resorts in which to sunbathe and enjoy all the attractions and activities associated with top class beach holidays including Playa Flamenca and Cabo Roig, as well as golf and sporting resorts like Villamartin and La Zenia.
The golf course and accommodation in Las Ramblas is open and popular all throughout the year. The summer seems to last for at least 3/4 of the year, with average temperatures remaining above 20°C in all but December, January and February, when they remain around 15°C. In summer, average temperatures can reach a staggering 30°C, with daily peaks surging towards 40°C on many days.
25km to Murcia’s San Javier (MJV) and 35km from Alicante’s Al Altet (ALC), Las Ramblas accommodation is never hard to reach. There are direct flights to either Murcia or Alicante from almost every airport across the UK, although shopping around for the best deal is strongly advised.
