The seaside town of Kyparissia is well located for enjoying the best of both the beaches and the mountains in southwest Peloponnese. The beautiful area is relatively undiscovered by tourism but has plenty of ancient monuments and things to do. The long sandy beaches are favoured by the sea turtles that come ashore and make their nests in the breeding season. The town has two areas: the upper Ano Poli which is the traditional settlement within the city walls, and the Kato Poli which is the more modern area. The palm-tree lined road leads from the centre of the town down the hill to the beautiful beach and the surrounding area is given over to vineyards and olive groves.
The long sandy bay of Ai Lagoudis is just a five minute stroll from the centre of Kyparisiia and has soft sand and clean water for swimming. It is surrounded by small cafés and has excellent facilities.Shopping
