Places to visit near Jupiter, Florida Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse
Built in 1860 this landmark lighthouse in what was Old Fort Jupiter now houses an excellent museum of local artifacts and memorabilia. Tours are available Saturday through Wednesday and funds go towards the restoration of the lighthouse.
Loxahatchee River Historical Museum
This excellent museum includes a replica Seminole Indian Village along with Indian clothing, tools and Spanish treasures. Operated by the local Historical Society, the special exhibits give a fascinating insight into local Jupiter history.
Dubois Park
This natural park area is set on 18 acres and has a beachfront area with lifeguards on duty. Fishing and swimming is popular. There is also a picnic area with grills, restrooms, showers and plenty of parking for a great day out.
