The climate here is good all year round with the dry season generally between November and April and next to no rainfall between December and February. The rainy season begins in late April or early May and continues through October, a month which averages 48 inches. Temperatures can range from a high of 35 degrees centigrade and a low of 20 centigrade with March and April the warmest months on average.
Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San Jose is approximately an hour and 10 minute’s drive from Jaco and has flights to and from various North American and European cities. These include Denver (DEN), Frankfurt (FRA), Madrid (MAD), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK), and Toronto-Pearson (YYZ) as well as other airports in Central and South America. Visitors from other European countries can either fly to Frankfurt, Madrid o one of the major U.S airports such as New York (JFK) and get a connecting flight to San Jose.
