This April, head to Belfast and Nova Scotia to celebrate the centenary of Titanic's maiden voyage
24/01/2012 – April 15, 2012 will mark 100 years since the tragic sinking of RMS Titanic. Having played major roles in the vessel’s story, the cities of Belfast, Southampton and Halifax are hosting a fusion of commemorative events to celebrate the centenary of the ship’s maiden voyage. For those planning to attend the festivities, HomeAway.co.uk, the UK’s number one holiday rentals website, advertises a good range of private apartments and houses, ideal for a Titanic-themed holiday.
Having built the ill-fated liner, the city of Belfast will offer a range of public events to mark the opening of the multi-million pound Titanic Belfast attraction. Southampton, from where Titanic left on her voyage, will also host events across the city that will tell the story of that disastrous night. For some of those who lost their lives 100 years ago, Halifax, Nova Scotia is where their story came to an end. To mark the centennial anniversary, commemorative events across the Canadian province have also been planned.
The properties below, advertised on www.HomeAway.co.uk, are the perfect setting for those who wish to learn more about the history of Titanic.
