Italian salads recipes
Italian cuisine places a great emphasis on the use of fresh produce, especially on the use of tomatoes, perhaps the most stereotypical ingredient found in Italian food. Salads are therefore extremely popular and make good use of fresh vegetables and herbs, like olives, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and basil. A traditional menu features salad along with the main course, but many Italian salads can also be perfect served on their own as a light meal at dinner-time, like some of the recipes submitted here.
