Daylesford Organic Farm
This legendary Cotswolds farm is a must-do to get your kids interested in the environment and indulge your foodie side. It’s a win-win! Visit the farm school to learn how to start your own organic garden at home or even get an introduction to beekeeping. In summer you can teach your children how to pick the ripest strawberries, or go on a well-signed farm walk at any time of year. Named the "Most Environmentally Friendly Farm in the UK," everything here is organic, seasonal, sustainable and ethically sourced – from the café menu to the soap in the bathroom.

Cotswold Farm Park
Grab the kids and visit this working farm that’s full of child-friendly fun! There's a Touch Barn and Farm Safari where you can get up close and personal with the resident rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, lambs and piglets. Or let them burn some rubber on the farm’s self-propelled roller racers and test their tractor driving skills on ride-on tractors! The farm’s focus is on sustaining almost-extinct breeds of animals for education and future diversity. As kids wind their way through the Cotswold Lion Maze, they’re challenged to solve some Rare Breed questions or track down animals to find the right path.

This family-managed organic farm hosts child-friendly events and courses throughout the year such as a "Meet the Bees" beekeeping demonstration and foraging days. They also put on an annual "1000 Kites" festival to promote the use of clean wind energy. Take the whole family for a walk through the farm to pick blackberries and wild garlic for your next dinner, and keep a lookout for deer, badgers, birds and butterflies as you go. Be sure to ask the owners how they promote cosy habitats for all these creatures with their farming practices. You may just learn a trick or two!

Woefuldane Organic Dairy
Step into a simpler time as you walk down a country lane past fields of cows to pick up their milk at the local dairy. After the kids have said a cheery “hello!” to the cows, step inside this farm shop to grab freshly made organic cheese, fudge, butter, cream and yogurt. Everything is produced at the farm less than half a mile down the road. You can even do as the locals do and bring your own container to be filled up with "loose milk" – showing your children how important it is to reduce the need for another plastic bottle!
