HomeAway travel expert
What is it about hot tubs? Everyone wants one. According to one recent survey, more homeowners desire a hot tub in their garden than a greenhouse. While it should be noted that the two products perform slightly different roles (tomato plants don’t take too well in a hot tub), it’s telling that in recent years the hot tub has become so desirable once again.
If you’re not fortunate enough to own a hot tub – or a garden for that matter – your dreams of joining the elite needn’t be cruelly dashed. The solution, when you think about it, is simple: book a luxury holiday rental that comes with its own hot tub. After a week spent drinking beer, wrinkling your skin and pretending that you’re partying in the Hollywood hills circa 1976, you’ll be ready to step out of the tub and get on with your life. Until next year at least, when you can do it all over again.

Cottages with hot tubs in the Cotswolds
The Cotswolds is best known for its picturesque towns and villages, characterised by thatched cottages, historic churches, antique shops and tiny art galleries housed in converted mills and grain stores. The weekly farmers’ markets are full of good food and lively chatter, while the village pubs serve as a focal point for the local community. Step inside to sample hearty food and good ale, devoured in front of a roaring fire. The Old Stables is an idyllic holiday cottage that boasts a private rear garden complete with lawn, patio and hot tub. There’s also a 3D TV and overhead Monsoon shower. Very nice.
