Buses operate between Font de Sa Cala andPalma de Mallorca regularly throughout the day, making the main town an easy day trip. Most of the sights of interest are in the historic Old City, a maze of cobbled streets which houses the Town Hall and the Arab Baths. There is also a wide choice of restaurants in the town offering visitors a taste of traditional regional cuisine, many of which feature fresh local seafood.
Summer is by far the busiest time in Font de Sa Cala, with temperatures reaching 28C and not a cloud in sight on most days. Winters remain quite dry and offer milder temperatures to enjoy the island for those not so interested in getting a tan.
Font de Sa Cala is served by Palma de Mallorca airport (PMI), which is 63km across the other side of the island. The airport receives flights from the UK on a daily basis, many of which are operated by the UK’s budget airlines, including easyJet and Thomsonfly.
