The nearest option to the east is San Bartolomeo al mare (5km), whilst just 17km to the west is Imperia – the famous capital of the province and an important historical city of flower cultivation and olive growing.
The best time of the year in which to visit Diano San Pietro is between May and September, when temperatures are warm and extremely pleasant, though a mild climate means that an enjoyable holiday can be had at any time of the year.
The nearest Italian airport to Diano San Pietro is Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport (GOA), 109km east along the coast. International flights to this destination include a British Airways service from London Gatwick, and budget airline Ryanair also head to Genoa on a regular basis. Nice Cote d’Azur is also a similar distance away, being 106km in the opposite direction.
