Holidaymakers looking for a fun packed vacation by the coast in Northern Europe should pay a visit to De Haan, Belgium. Located on the west coast of the country, De Haan offers many things for holidaymakers to see and do. About 15 kilometres southwest of De Haan is Ostend, where there are some interesting historic places and museums such as the Art Museum by the Sea and Earth Explorer. The capital city Brussels has many historic buildings and museums including the Royal Palace and the Cathedral of Saints Michel and Gudule.

Brussels International Airport (BRU) is approximately one hour and 10 minute’s drive from De Haan. Brussels Airlines operate flights to Brussels from numerous cities including Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Birmingham, Copenhagen, Geneva, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Rome, Stockholm and Vienna amongst others. Car rental firms Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt have desks in the arrivals hall and there are taxis available outside the terminal building. Another option for visitors from the UK is to catch a ferry from Ramsgate to Ostend and drive just 20 minutes to De Haan.
