Here visitors will find numerous different places to stay including self catering accommodation, villas and holiday homes.
Holidaymakers staying at Cruz Bay will be able to enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches, which are ideal for sunbathing and just generally relaxing. As well as swimming in the warm sea, many other watersports are available here such as snorkelling, diving, fishing, sailing, paddle boating and water skiing. This small island offers some great views for hikers, cyclists and horse riders to see. Other activities available in and around Cruz Bay include tennis, beachcombing and paragliding. St John does not have a golf course but holidaymakers can enjoy a miniature course at Pastory Gardens. There are bars, inns and restaurants located in the area serving delicious local cuisine including splendid fresh seafood dishes. Visitors wanting a break from life on the beach at Cruz Bay will find a good number of beautiful and interesting places on St John. For example there are the lovely plants and flowers in the botanical garden at Pastory Gardens. The island’s national park is home to the Annaberg Sugar Plantation Ruins, whilst other great historic attractions can be found here too such as the petroglyphs. Elaine Ione Sprauve Library and Museum is well worth visiting too.
The weather here is consistently warm all year round with temperatures ranging from 73 degrees Fahrenheit to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Holidaymakers shouldn’t encounter much wet weather here but the most likely months for rain are May, August, September, November and October when the tropical showers last just a few minutes. Holidaymakers should note the hurricane season runs from June to November.
