Cavaliere-sur-Mer is situated on the Cote d’Azur between Toulon and Saint-Raphael. The town itself has small local shops including a supermarket and a boulangerie for warm breakfast croissants. There are some charming cafés and bar-restaurants nearby. Le Muy is a typical Provencal village with charming cottages in traditional shades of terracotta, brightened with colourful shutters. The Charles Quint Tower is an 11th century building and there is a 16th century church and an old bridge overlooking the weirs of the old watermills. The town has shops, excellent restaurants and two outdoor markets which are known for their local produce.
Bormes Les Mimosas
This ancient medieval hilltop village is famous for its beautiful mimosa flowers which bloom from January to March. It has wonderful sea views right out to the islands of Hyeres.
Cavaliere enjoys a Mediterranean climate which has pleasant temperatures and warm sunshine. Temperatures reach an average 26°C (79°F) in the summer. Winters are mild with daytime highs of 11°C (52°F) but there can be showers at any time of year.
Toulon (TLN) is the nearest airport to your holiday rental in Cavaliere, about 24 km away. Nice (NCE) Airport is about 85 km away and also has regular flights with budget airlines. The fast TGV trains connect with the Eurostar from London, making it easy to get to Provence by train.
