There are many small cove beaches along this coastline. From any Carvoeiro villa the beaches of Carvoeiro Praia, Albandeira, Marinha, Benagil, Carvalho, Paraiso, Ferragudo and the surfers’ beach at Pintadinho are easily accessible. These are all small sandy beaches dotted along the rugged coast of Carvoeiro, Algarve, and there are often large caves tunnelling into the cliffs which dominate the area.

From Carvoiero or Benagil beaches, fishing boats take parties to explore the Algarve coastline, often taking visitors to see the magnificent Algar Seco, a huge cave, which can also be reached by foot from Carvoeiro village. These boats, or slightly larger vessels departing from Portimao, also take trips into the ocean to enjoy some invigorating deep sea fishing.
