Located at the eastern end of the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, Cabrera is considered to be the most beautiful part of the island, which is huge praise when you consider how beautiful the Dominican Republic truly is. Cabrera has never pushed itself as a tourist resort. It has never had to. The beaches are absolutely glorious, and if you are looking for real peace, a self catering holiday rental will be ideal.
The beaches of Cabrera are simply magnificent. The largest, most popular and almost certainly the most beautiful beach is the Playa Grande, but there are plenty of quieter little beaches to be found. Wherever you are in and around Cabrera, you will be spoilt for choice for sandy beaches. Tropical forests reach right down to the sea in some places, providing visitors a beautiful place to sit in the shade and bathe in the Caribbean beneath gently swaying palms.
You can even get a round of golf from a luxury villa in Cabrera. The Playa Grande Golf Course is located just a few miles outside Cabrera, offering 18 challenging holes in tropical surroundings, the perfect option if your local course has started to loose some of its appeal!
In the evenings, a self catering Cabrera villa, apartment or house allows you to party long into the night.
