Budoni is a wonderful seaside resort in the north east coast of Sardinia. Protected from the winds, conditions are always pleasant in Budoni, and the well equipped tourist marina is a wonderful water sports centre.

There are some fantastic white sand beaches to find from Budoni accommodation, including Budoni Beach, which is just 300m from the centre of the village. The water of the Tyrrhenian Sea is absolutely transparent and clean, which makes bathing and swimming in the sea a genuine delight. Budoni is also home to some fantastic scuba diving centres, which arrange dives at Sardinia’s finest dive sites, from reefs to wrecks.
The beaches are backed by some beautifully wild countryside. Pine forests cover much of the coastline, with large ponds and reed beds providing the natural habitat for many species of wildlife, especially birds.
Budoni is known for its restaurants, ranging from high class, family run establishments to cheerful international cafes and bars serving international dishes, as well as excellent little ice cream parlours and lively bars in which to enjoy a refreshing drink in the evening.
The Olbia-Tempio region of Sardinia is awash with Roman ruins too. A Budoni holiday home is perfectly located for a day of Roman exploration, from the huge baths in Olbia to the archaeological site at Nurage.
The village of Baia Sant’Anna offers the visitor a chance to explore the natural wealth of Sardinia. With both beautiful beaches and a think pine forest surrounding the village, Baia Sant’Anna is a fantastic place to visit, especially for nature lovers. The lush natural habit is home to a huge variety of bird species, including flamingos, perfect for an afternoon walk after a long, leisurely lunch or a morning spent spread out on the beach.
No matter what time of year you take a holiday rental villa in Budoni, conditions will be beautifully mild. During the winter months, daily temperatures are rarely under 15˚C, and during the long summer months, you can expect to experience temperatures of over 30˚C every day. Spring and autumn are fantastic times to visit Budoni if you plan to get active in the great outdoors, on foot, by bike or on horseback.
The Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB) is just 35km from a holiday rental apartment in Budoni. There are twice daily flights arriving from London Gatwick (LGW) with easyJet. The coastal route from the airport to Budoni is highly scenic, but progress can be slow.
