Located on the north of the Spanish Island of Majorca, the lovely resort of Bellresguard is close to Puerto Pollensa. Built to retain its small fishing village charm, despite the presence of high rise apartment buildings, Bellresguard has everything you need for a perfect vacation – sunshine, beaches, diving and water sports, shopping and local cultural attractions. The port at Pollensa is surrounded by restaurants and bars and the market square has a traditional local market which sells fresh produce.

If you are visiting the area during Easter, the 365 steps in the town of Pollensa are the sight of a Good Friday Parade. There is a re-enactment of the 13 stages of the Cross which ends at the chapel on the top of the hill, aptly named Calvary. Even if it is not Easter, it is an interesting climb to the top of the steps for fantastic town and sea views.
The old town of Pollensa has a charm of its own with its medieval churches and 17th century buildings. As well as plenty of shops, Pollensa is an excellent place to enjoy a meal in one of the local restaurants. Try the freshly caught local seafood in a traditional Paella.
Visit the imposing Eglèsia de Nostra Senyora dels Àngels in the square, which was built in the 13th century by the Knights Templars.
Valldemossa is a village on the West coast of Majorca, a short drive from your apartment in Bellresguard. It is famous for the 14th century Royal Charterhouse of Jesus of Nazareth, built in the early 1300s when the philosopher Ramon Lull lived in the area. Many poets and composers, including Chopin, have stayed in the monastery which is set in a beautiful spot.
Majorca is a popular sunshine resort year round with average temperatures of around 15C (59F) in December and January. From April to November, temperatures in Bellresguard, Majorca range from 15-31C (60-88F) with light rainfall likely from September to February.
