Holidaymakers looking to get away to a warm climate in a beautiful part of Italy will find Badia Tedalda is a fantastic choice. This is a very scenic town in the northern half Italy that lies within the Arezzo area of the Tuscany region. Here visitors will find numerous different places to stay including self catering accommodation, villas and apartments.
Badia Tedalda is a very scenic place with many lovely olive groves and vineyards nearby that can be explored by hiking, cycling and horse riding. There are also plenty of mountainous routes in the area for mountain biking and climbing. Visitors to the area are handily located near to the ski resort of Mount Fumaiolo. The wonderful beach resorts of the east coast are less than an hour and 20 minutes away, where holidaymakers can enjoy various watersports. There are several excellent golf courses in Tuscany as well as public tennis courts. Self catering holidaymakers will be able to purchase food and drink from some small local stores. A few restaurants, bars and cafes serving some excellent Italian cuisine can be found in the area too.
There are a number of interesting places in this region which are relatively close to Badia Tedalda. The city of Arezzo is just over an hour away and features many wonderful religious buildings such as the Gothic Cathedral of Saint Donatus. As well as its fantastic buildings, Arezzo has numerous galleries and museums such as Ivan Bruschi House and Museum and the Civic Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. For more wonderful art, holidaymakers might like to travel a little further afield to Florence, which is a two hour drive from Badia Tedalda. This fantastic city has many museums and galleries, palaces and other great pieces of architecture. There are some lovely parks and gardens to be found in the city as well. Cesena is another fine city worth visiting and is only 90 minutes drive away. Among the impressive structures here are the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist and the Malatestian Fortress.
During the daytime in summer the temperatures can get very hot in Tuscany. The warmest time of the year to visit Cerbaia is generally July and August when the average high temperature is approximately 30 degrees centigrade, while June and September hit a respectable 27 degrees centigrade as well. The average rainfall for one year is below 90mm with October often the wettest month.
Federico Fellini Airport (RMI) is located just outside Rimini and is approximately an hour and 20 minute’s drive from Badia Tedalda. Flights arrive here from a few European airports including Amsterdam (AMS), Berlin-Tegel (TXL), Liverpool (LPL), London-Stansted (STN), Moscow-Domodedovo (DME) and Stockholm Skavsta (NYO) amongst others. Alamo, Avis, Budget Dollar, Eurocar, Hertz, National Sixt and Thrifty are car rental firms represented at the airport.
