We’ve had an absolutely amazing break, I can't thank you enough, Kismet and Kalkan really is a taste of holiday heaven, The pace of life is right up our street, we genuinely believe we could live over here it's so relaxed and peaceful.

The welcome pack you prepared was a veritable feast of locally sourced essentials for our use on arrival, it came in very handy on the first evening as we had major delays in both airports!, also a nice personal touch with the hand written Villa Kismet postcard wishing us a happy stay and welcoming us into your beautifully adorned abode, most thoughtful of you!

We ventured into the harbor on our first outing and our daughter was treated like a princess everywhere we went, by the time the holiday drew to a close there wasn't a single shop or restaurant owner that didn't know her by name, such friendly people, so welcoming, the hospitality is amazing and the level of service and attention to gastro detail is by far the best I have experienced abroad.

We’ve eaten like King and Queen (and little Princess!) and all very reasonable on the wallet too!, made lots of friends, fished, drank, BBQ'd (in your locally crafted grill! ...fantastic!), swam, drank, bathed, drank some more! and when not catering for ourselves during the evenings we regularly dined under the palms in one of the many delightful harbor restaurants.

The harbor side and its unique night life is a combination of enchanting lights, the freshest of cuisine, great service and a relaxed atmosphere, blended, as only the locals know how to ensure the ultimate Kalkan experience, only enhanced by the breath taking views across the bay and out to the moon-cast med.

We are very keen to arrange a return visit next year around the same time ...June is the perfect heat for the nipper!

After looking at literally hundreds of villas on-line, there was something about villa Kismet that 'stuck', The booking process was a breeze, During our 'holiday build up time (which seemed to take an eternity we were so excited) Gillie was in contact answering all of our questions and even taking time to book boat trips etc. When we arrived, the Villa literally took our breathes away, it was absolutely beautiful, once inside everything we could possibly want & more. Inside & out, the villa was spotless. the only noise was the whoops & shrieks of a very happy family of five! We will definitely be back

Villa Kismet is a picture book pretty villa nestled in the hills above the hussle and bustle of Kalkan and although there are other villas either side the positioning of these and hill gradient means you are not overlooked and Kismet enjoys a great deal of privacy and security. Although there are quite a lot of steps down to the villa so worth bearing in mind if you have any mobility problems or for parents of babies in buggies.. The garden and particulalry the pool are tended superbly by a friendly gardener who comes in every day to water the well stocked fragrant garden and feed the garden based cats who are very friendly and determined to get into the villa but don't let them in! Karen who looks after the Kismet for the owners met us on the first day and was very helpful and is just a phone call away should we have had any problems.The bedrooms and bathrooms are all spacious and well appointed and all have varying views over the Kalkan and the spectacular hills. As it is a good ten to fifteen minute stroll into Kalkan centre so would recommend you either hire a car or as we did get taxis (usually back to the villa) after an evening out or a trip to the supermarket. These are very cheap and plentiful and many will take you on day trips . The nearest restaurant is a the bottom of the road was newly opened and called Our House serving inexpensive simple Turkish home cooking run by a husband and wife team who are charming. We found the kitchen at Kismet had all the necessary equipment should you want to cook and eat in although to be honest there are so many fabulous rooftop and harbour side restaurants with great views in Kalkan you are spoilt for choice. Although choose with care as they can vary in price and quality. The bathrooms were spotless and the beds and pillows all very comfy. We all especially loved the hammock on the balcony and the really relaxing longers and day beds round the pool. It was our first time in Kalkan and we found there was so much to do and see close by you are a short drive away from beaches, historical sites, markets and boat rides. A must is a day trip on Anil boat Captain Ali was charm itself and the lunch was delicious (but take some pots to take the leftovers home) as there was enough for several meals. Villa Kismet also has a comprehensive information book compiled by the owners with tons of useful numbers and local knowledge. Will definately be coming back as Villa Kismet charmed us all.
