L'Hort de Salomo apartments were newly constructed in 2005. This spacious, bright end apartment has triple aspect views of sea, mountains and pools. Fully fitted kitchen. Lounge/Diner with patio doors onto balcony. Hallway. 3 bedrooms. Bathroom en suite. 1 further Shower room. Situated on 4th/top floor with lift or stairs. Pretty landscaped gardens, pools and children's play area all within this secure gated property. Parking on site. 100 metres to seafront, marina, restaurants and shops.

We also have a second 2 bedroom apartment in L'Ampolla property nos. 408414 which is maintained to the same high standard as our L'Hort de Salomo apartment.

L'Ampolla: L'Ampolla on Costa Dorada or Golden Coast referring to the sands is a pretty fishing village with a good selection of waterfront shops and restaurants offering local produce and wine . There are local markets to be found in every village on each day of the week L'Ampolla's being on a Wednesday and is always worth a visit before popping in to enjoy an ice cream or cool beer along the harbour. Night life is mostly confined to eating out late or taking a night cap in one of the bars .L'Ampolla boasts several beaches famous for their Blue Flag Beach award watched over by lifeguards. We think L'Ampolla the perfect place to relax but the more energetic can enjoy mountain walks and bike rides, windsurfing, horse riding and big cat fishing plus many other activities. Not to be missed are the colourful and exciting Fiestas and Festivals with spectacular fireworks ,quayside dancing and open air concerts which can be viewed from your balcony. We love L'Ampolla and hope that you will too!

L'Hort de Salomo apartments: Situated close to the beaches of L'Ampolla, L'Hort de Salomo offers well appointed facilities including pools and childrens play areas set amidst lawns and well tended gardens that are totally contained within a secure gated area. The apartments were newly constructed in 2005 and are well equipped with everything you'll need for a relaxing and comfortable holiday. Bright, airy and comfortable rooms, entertainment facilities including Hi-Fi, SataliteTV plus a selection of CD's DVD's and books to suit most tastes. This lovely apartment boasts a spacious balcony with views towards L'Ampolla centre and the nearby beach.

We suppy all bed linen,towels and beach towels with no hidden charges for cleaning .

About Sally Thompkins

Pete and I have been living part time in the nearby village of Camarles which is approx 4 kilometres away from L'Ampolla since 2004.

We adore it here as do our family.Our 3 children and 7 gorgeous grandchildren visit whenever possible and have very memorable family holidays with old fashioned ways of spending quality time together without the distractions of modern living.

Our apartment was purchased by us in 2005 from new and is still in perfect condition as we have always been very lucky with our guests and they have always respected our property.

It is well equipped and we think has most items

holiday makers would expect to find, as these are the things we would expect to find if we were renting.The bedding and towels are all of a good standard and well laundered.

Pete and I manage and maintain the apartment ourselves so it is always cleaned to a high standard.

We are also happy to listen to what our guest require and supply if neccesary.

The grounds and swimming pool are well maintained and kept very clean.

What makes this apartment unique

L'Ampolla is a charming quiet fishing harbour which is becoming busier during the high season as a favourite seaside resort with people traveling from Barcelona and surrounding areas.

There are so many activities to pursue, just visit www.deltaturistic.com to take a peek at just a few things on offer.

Or if you prefer just unwind on one of the beaches with a good book and plan your next lunch or dinner in the many restaurants or bars, which are plentiful, but dont worry you dont have to spend too much time preparing to dress for dinner as most are low key and casual. For the fish lovers it is the perfect place to eat ! and then for desert try the ice cream parlours for delicious assortments of ice cream and milk shakes !

Cars are not essential as a good train service but if you want to travel inland and visit mountain villages it would be neccesary to hire one.

Area Information

TRAVEL: Airport Reus approximately 60kilometres with cheap flights from UK with Ryan Air plus various other airlines. Car hire available at airport or we can sometimes arrange local 7 seater taxi .

Air conditioned train service to L'Ampolla which travels along the coast.

Car Hire is not essential but we would recommend it if you want to travel around the lovely mountain villages.

ACTIVITIES [just a few examples]: Big Cat Fishing on the famous River Ebro

Hiking and cycling, an extensive network of signposted long and short distance footpaths along the coast. The Ebro Delta National Park. Golf at Bon Mont Club de Golf at Miami Playa. Horse riding locally. Various water sports. Beautiful City of Barcelona. Ancient city of Tarragona. Great wine fields of Falcet, a great place for wine tasting. Lively Salou. Universal Studios. Port Aventura Theme Park.

    Additional information about rental rates:
    Prices quoted are for a 7 night stay but shorter stays can be accommodated out of high season on request. During summer period bookings will be taken Saturday - Saturday only .
    Arrival time from 4.00pm Check out: by 10.30am (occasionally these time can be negotiated)
    A 25% deposit would secure booking and balance would be required 4 weeks prior to arrival.
    A security deposit of £100 (or euros) cash will be required on arrival, this will be held for security against any damage, breakages or staining to furnishings ect. but will be returned if the apartment is left as found upon leaving.

Fantastic apartment in a lovely town. The apartment was clean and spacious, and our 11 year old loved the pool. We had to barter pool time against days out to barcelona and the beach. The town is great, shops, bakery and beach only minutes away. Tarragona is worth a look, great Roman remains, the kids get in for free and they do a great kids trail around the town. The trains to Barcelona are good, if a little infrequent later in the day (last train back at 9 pm) The groceries were very welcome, Sally's right,after the train journey we just wanted a cup of tea and a sit on the balcony. Recommend the cod fritters at the reastaraunt on the harbour and the Green cup bar over the road - good food and a great atmosphere especially on barcelona match days. Thanks again for such a wonderful welcome, and a lovely holiday.

Thanks Pete and Sally for your excellent and frendly service. The apartment was great, with aircon as well. Being just a few minutes walk to the harbour, restaurant, shops and beach, it is a superb location. Eveything was spotless and well decorated.

Great apartment very clean and tidy and has everything you would need for a family holiday. I visited with my partner, my two young boys and my brother in April we all had a brilliant holiday. I would definitely recommend the apartment to my friends or family. The outside space is good with two swimming pools and a playground which the boys loved. The apartment itself is very well equipped and in a very good location. There is a restraunt just across the street and it is a very short walk to the Marina where there are plenty of bars, shops and places to eat. We have visited L'Ampolla before and our favourite places to eat are Can Pinana and Sol. The menu del dia's are very good value for money.
There are loads of places to visit in the area a river cruise down the delta is a well worth a visit and close to that Ila de buda is a brilliant beach. We had visited Miravet castle which is a bit of a drive but good to keep the kids entertained.

Nice, comfortable and quite apartment

I stayed in the apartment with my family (husband and 2 kids). THe apartment was very clean and we felt like being at home. Sally and her husband were really kind with us. As the apartment had only a satellite TV, we were not able to watch local channels. Sally and her husband bought us a TV from another apartment so that our kids could see their favourite programs. They also were able to play in the park wich is part of the building. It was a great experience!!!
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities

We spent 4 days in l'Ampolla at this apartment... myself, my parents (in their 60's) and my 2 children (aged 3 & 5).

Sally and Peter are such great hosts. They welcomed us like old friends and spent time with us going through the apartment, suggested places to eat, shop, a nearby pub to use the internet, etc..

The apartment was beautiful and super-clean. Exceeded our expectations. We loved the pool... the kids used it every day, as well as the park located in the complex. We also went to the beach every day in the afternoon.

Our time in l'Ampolla was very relaxing. In the evenings, we would walk down to a different restaurant every night... fresh seafood, paella, cava :-)

I highly recommend staying at Sally & Peter's apartment. We really enjoyed our stay, and the whole rental experience.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
