1 bedroom, 80 square meters, sleeps 2, balcony over square, very central.

Large property, in a modern style in the centre of the historic Gothic area. Situated in George Orwell Square, which has been renovated and cleaned up (2012) and now is safe and tranquil with a new children's play area, where young mums come to watch their children play and have a coffee with friends.

Inside the apartment there is: A large lounge, with Hi-Fi including MP3, dining table, two sofas, TV. Wi-Fi internet access.

1 x large bedroom with air con. Separate kitchen.

Ideally suited to a couple who want and apartment with a bit of luxury and a bit of space in an interesting, central area. Balcony overlooking lively square. Walkable to nearly everywhere!! The beaches are only 12 minutes walk away. The apartment is LARGE: 80 sq Meters.

Beaches: The harbour is 5 minutes walk away and the beaches are just a short walk beyond that. A swimming pool and large gym are at the end of the street.

Nightlife: There is lots of nightlife in the area.

Local, shopping, Restaurants and tourist: Barcelona's main cathedral is 5 minutes walk away.

Barcelona's main market is 7 minutes walk away.

Most of the best shops are also nearby and walkable.

Some fantastic restaurants are 5 minutes walk away.

Right in the centre of the interesting Gothic district. 200 meters from Las Ramblas. The large property overlooks a lively square with lots of cafes and bars. The bedroom is quiet - being at the rear of the property with double glazing. 500 meters to the metro (not that you will need it!)

PLEASE CHECK AVAILABILITY BEFORE CONTACTING.

Other Activities: If you use RyanAir to Gerona it will take you much longer to get to Barcelona. Easyjet and BA are better if possible.

We thought the location was ideal for what we wanted -very central and within walking distance of all 'sightseeing' places…The flat itself was perfect for what we wanted and just as you had described it: we were looking for somewhere a bit different and yet luxurious which is what it was, very minimalist and a great place to get away to. We didn't use the kitchen facilities because we ate out such a lot but they looked fine. We've recommended it to somebody so you may well get somebody else from Chester contacting you, and as we both had such a fantastic time we intend to go back to Barcelona so if we do will contact you again. We enjoyed our stay and the location was great. Claire and Jordi were very helpful.

We had been a bit worried about noise at night but the bedroom proved to be very quiet.

Claire's instructions on living in the apartment and what to do in Barcelona were superior to any we had seen for an apartment rental and we have done many.

Do not miss having a meal at Los Caracoles, just a couple of blocks down the street going towards Ramblas. Food and service were excellent at reasonable prices and we could have an evening meal at an hour to which we are accustomed.

And the taxi could drop us off and pick us up at the apartment door even though the apartment is in the Barri Gotic where traffic is restricted.

Great time in Barcelona

The apartment was great it was much more spacious than we had thought and the place was clean and tidy when we arrived.

An added surprise was the second toilet, that was not mentioned in the apartment details (not that we remembered anyway).

Claire was super in arranging transport for us from the Airport to the apartment, everything went very smoothly.

The location of the apartment was good and we managed to find events on in the evenings in the Barri Gothic area. Food in the area was a bit hit and miss, but our favourite being a place called Sinatra's, only a 10 min walk away.

Thank you Robert for asking about our stay, I can assure you we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, but have to admit we only used 2 cups, 2 side plates and 2 wine glasses the whole stay...so many nice places to eat and drink and I just find staying in an apartment much more relaxing than a hotel.

Really liked this apartment based on the provided pictures, and I wasn't disappointed. It's a huge apartment close to the Gothic Cathedral, Dali exhibition and other sights, but also perfectly accessible if you venture into the city. It's also within walking distance from the beach (15 mins)! Perfect for couples, has a nice living room, balcony looking at George Orwell square, fully equipped kitchen (except for the microwave, but we didn't need that at all). Absolutely recommended!

Great apartment in the heart of all the action.
loved the little balcony overlooking the square where we spent many hours just watching the interesting people go by. Bedroom is in the back of apartment so is nice and quiet and bed very comfortable. Would reccommend to anyone wanting to stay in Barcelona - the gothic area is full of character!
