G/FLOOR POOLSIDE BUNGALOW ON ALBATROS MINS FROM RESTAURANTS, SHOPS & BEACH

We should have had our holiday here in January but were beaten by the ice and snow. Sue very kindly let us rearrange our holiday at a days notice which was much appreciated and as it happens a good choice as we have just returned from two weeks of glorious sunshine.

The apartment is in a very nice secure complex and is central for exploring on foot or by car. It has everything you need for your stay and the beds are very comfortable.It is quiet and well cared for and has a very safe feeling.

Shops and restaurants are in easy walking distance. we found Mercadona to be the best value supermarket(its also the closest). The Chinese Restaurant about a five minutes walk away is excellent value the 6Euro Menu of the Day is exceptional value and includes a half bottle of wine per person its a favorite with many of the residents of the complex. The breakfast at BIg Bens is also highly reccomended.

The market at Ribiera on a Wednesday is good and if you have a car and want a good day out the Saturday Market at Santa Pola is worth a visit (the close up at around 1.30). There is a market at Los Alcazares but we didn't get to visit it.

We loved Cartenagena its worth the effort to find a parking space!!.

The beaches all around the Mar Menor are safe and even in to late October the water was warm. There are also excellent walks just about everywhere. One of our favorites is Lo Pagan where you can see flamingos at close range.

All in all a great holiday in a very comfortable apartment. This is a great base for a beach holiday or if you prefer to get out and about there is plenty to see and do without driving miles.

One word of caution if hiring a car avoid Goldcar as they charge 90 Euros for a tank of petrol and its not refundable. Try Centauro they are much better value.

We had a great time staying in this resort & accommodation. We are a family of four with two young children. The location of the accom was ideal as the pool & grass area where just outside the front door.

The Children's pool was a good size and of pefect depth, that the Children could play safely and occupied them for hours.

The accommodation was a good size and clean. It was well maintained and good layout.

The resort was fantasic, this was my fouth visit and certainly didn't disappoint. The food & service was excellent.

Our only disappointment was the accommodation was double booked our first night. The owner did put us up in a hotel, but it was located outwith the area & was a inconvenience.

overall we had a fantastic time, the accom was secure, there was a pool guard on duty 12-8pm, the other holiday makers were pleasant and friendly.

We would recommend it & are considering returning next year.

Just returned from a fabulous week in this resort. The accommodation was just as described and was immaculate. The bungalow had everything you need and more. We were really grateful for the fantastic patio which is shaded for the best part of the day, particularly in July. However, it is also fab for those that worship the sun as it has a small terrace out back which has full sun and just two steps outside the front patio takes you to the pool which has a lovely grass area to sunbathe.
The pool also has a lifeguard which is very reassuring if you have children.
Sue had arranged for us to be picked up at the airport. The lady (sorry forgot her name) that collected us was very welcoming and efficient.
I would definitely consider returning to this bungalow in the future and would not hesitate recommending it to friends.
Communication with the owner was excellent, very friendly and efficient.
I would like to comment on how comfortable the beds were, just as described.
