Los Alcazares, with its beautiful blue flag beaches, is situated in the Murcia region of south-eastern Spain; known as the Costa Calida (Warm Coast). The area has an average of 320 days of sunshine each year. The town sits on the western shore of the Mar Menor, a small sea partially separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a strip of land called La Manga. It is a very relaxed Spanish resort that really welcomes international visitors. The Mar Menor is warm and calm, ideal for children and adults alike. Sailing, kite surfing, windsurfing, scuba diving are all very popular. There are many bars, cafes and restaurants for drinks, tapas, meals & entertainment - sea food is very good here. The area is flat, so great for walking & cycling. Market days are Saturday & Tuesday, ideal for gifts, fruit & veg. The regional city of Murcia & Roman city of Cartagena are well worth exploring & just a short drive from the apartment. Contact us to see our video of Los Alcazares beaches.
