Our Sixth Visit to La Manga

Despite this being our sixth visit to La Manga, this was our first time staying in Los Olivos. The main reason we chose it was for the proximity to the tennis centre and we couldn't get much closer. The apartment was first class in every way. It was clean, exceptionally well equipped, well furnished, had lots of storage space, and the huge double bed in the main bedroom must have been purchased from 'The Worlds Most Comfortable Bed Store!!!' The terrace was a delight and felt very individual due to the owner's pot plants. The views from the terrace over La Manga Club and beyond to the Mar Menor and La Manga 'Strip' are terriffic. The two outdoor pools are excellent and very well looked after. The indoor pool is also a huge asset but we only had to use it on one occasion as we had 7 exceptional weather days out of 8, which is much better than we expected for the end of April/beginning of May. This is the first time we have visited La Manga in the spring and it was a pleasure to see the surrounding area looking so green. Our main attraction to La Manga has always been the tennis, but the resort and the area offers so much more. The owner has provided a comprehensive information file which enabled us to discover the beautiful beaches at Calblanque (an area we did not know about on our previous five visits), and La Tana fish restaurant in pretty Cabo da Palos. The restaurants in and around La Manga are excellent with our personal favourite being La Rusticana which is located just off the resort. Genuine Spanish culture can be had by visiting Cartagena and Murcia, both of which are easily accessible by car via the stressless empty motorways. The owner was a delight to deal with and was very accomodating in all aspects relating to our stay and we would have no hesitation in booking with them again. The homeliness of this apartment makes you want to look after it as though it is your own and this proved to be an important factor for us during our stay. This will not be our last vist to La Manga.
