This country house, is surrounded by beautiful countryside, it's located in a very quiet area. Approximately 1km from the old town of Pollensa. The house is fully equipped.

Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa: The picturesque countryside around Pollensa is a colourful mixture of fertile fruit orchards and lightly wooded glades, bordered by hills to the south and dramatic rocky outcrops of Mallorca's northern mountains. Contained within ten square kilometres, the region stretches along the coast to Alcudia from the golden beaches of Puerto Pollensa and inland to the quaint, historic small town of Pollensa itself. To the north the shores of Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia are fringed with kilometres of golden sand with water sports and ideal sun bathing for the more relaxing holiday. Both Puerto Pollensa and Pollensa offer a good selection of restaurants, ranging from cafes and tapas bars to fine dining. Pollensa, apart from its pretty square has the Via Crucis which is a notable attraction with its long stairway which ascends Calvary Hill, from which there are superb views over the coast. Puerto Pollensa is a pretty, unaffected resort that is a firm favourite with families.

The best holiday ever!

Wow! What a wonderful holiday, thank you so much Guillem and Antonia.
We have just spent a wonderful week here and would have no doubt in recommending it to anyone else.
As a family of four: 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 6), the villa, pool and surroundings were just perfect (topped off of course by the weather - having come from three months of rain in England!!!)
The villa is a good size for four and the bedrooms spacious. The lounge looks bigger than the photo and the kitchen is well equipped with a small table, big enough to all sit round for a meal if it gets too hot outside.
Outside is beautifully kept and very pretty. The pool is amazing and warm in August, (we spent up to 4 hours a day in it), with a fun, push button jacuzzi at one end).
On our arrival we found the whole place, inside and out, very clean and well swept: terrace, pool, villa (in and out) and the beds comfortable with clean linen and plentiful clean towels.
The location is the best ever. We walked down (20 minute pleasant and easy stroll) into Pollensa every evening for dinner or during the day for shopping.
Pollensa itself is pretty, clean, interesting and with lots of good places to eat and shop.
We met Guillen twice and he is lovely and speaks excellent English.
There is plenty to do on Majorca. We had a couple of days out (we had a hire car), but were otherwise more than happy and occupied to stay in and around Pollensa.
The local supermarket (next to Lidel) is good, a nearby beach we found and liked (although busy and small) was at Cala Vincenz. We visited the caves at Arta (worth a trip, although not as spectacular as some of the others (according to the guide book).
Being British we couldn't help but take pity on the stray cats, who multiplied in number over the week, from one to five, after word got round there was Whiskas on offer! I just couldn't resist their feed-me faces any longer! However they did respond to shooing if you didn't want them.
If looking for anything to advise about, the shower runs from the taps so takes a little practise to balance the temperature and make sure you put food in the fridge as, being a dry country, you do get ants (something we are not used to in the UK!) These are minor points and did not detract from a great week here and my top advise would be to hurry and book! book! book!
This holiday will stay with us forever, thank you.

Perfection in Pollensa

The house was lovely - small but perfectly formed. The outside terrace and pool exceeded our expectations. The setting was stunning - with mountains all around and wonderful star-gazing at night. Although there were other villas close by, it felt as if we were completely secluded and on our own. We enjoyed walks into Pollensa old-town (20 mins) to enjoy coffee in the square and pick up a newspaper. There were two supermarkets a short (5 mins) drive away. Most evenings were spent in Porta Pollensa which was approx. 15 minutes drive. We also made use of the built-in BBQ by the pool and finished each evening with a drink on the roof-top terrace. It was the perfect accomodation and location for a family with teenagers. Hope to be back soon.

Exactly as per the description, the property was clean and well maintained and Guillem and Antonia were very welcoming and helpful. They were obviously full of advise and information on the area which helped us get our bearings very quickly. The property is small but with the large outside area and lovely pool it didn't feel cramped for a party of 4 adults.

The area is very quiet and peaceful but the town is only a 15 minute walk (a town of character with many relaxed restaurants and bars) and there is a good selection of beaches within 40 minutes drive, the nearest about 10 minutes away. The Tramuntana mountain range is very close and offers a real contrast to the local beaches. The monastry at Lluc which is about 20km away is a beautiful place and worth a visit.

The villa and the area are to be recommended and I would like to think we will return in the not too distant future.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Just returned from one week in this lovely villa. The pictures do not do it justice. In fact we were amazed when we arrived by how upmarket it felt.
Firstly, the location is superb. At the end of a quiet country lane, no passing traffic. Underneath the mountains and surrounded by an orchard. The only noise was the cockrel in the field next to us. But only 20 minutes pleasant walk in to the centre of pollensa with cafes and restaurants. Our 3 year old managed it no problem (although on shoulders on the way back!) The supermarket is well stocked and 2 minutes drive away. Best beach at formentera about 20 minutes drive but much nearer ones about 10 minutes drive away.
The villa itself is all you need. Large beautifully maintained gardens and very clean pool. Inside is spacious enough for 4 with modern appliances in a slightly dated kitchen. Otherwise inside is quite basic, but you wont be using it that much with all the fatastic outside space available.
Our kids were just a wee bit small (3 and 1) for the temerature of the pool in May. Another month would have heated it up nicely. We thought it was OK and older kids would manage no problem. Plus (and this is not a criticism) young kids need constant supervision aroung the pool and the design of the villa makes it impossible to nip inside and keep an eye on them. I am sure this would be the same in most villas.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Very helpful owner who is local and obviously loves his property and Pollenca. Would definately go back.

Great little house

One of the nicest holiday rentals we've stayed in: comfortable; clean and tranquil. The house isn't huge but there was plenty of room for the two of us and it could easily take a small family or two couples. Since we were staying out of season the nights were a touch cool but there is an efficient AC/heating system to take off the chill.

Guillem is friendly and helpful, both in providing advice and fixing the only problem we had, a failed bedside light. Antonia snuck in mid week and changed the towels and sheets - she has higher standards than we do!

The house is surrounded by Guillem's land, mostly comprising lemon and orange trees (both have delicious fruit) with a windbreak hedge around the pool. The surroundings are semi rural with the mountains on three sides and a view of the Puig Maria in front. A lazy birdwatcher can lie on a poolside recliner and see booted eagles, kestrels, black vultures and a host of finches and garden birds without moving.

The road to the house is slightly challenging, narrow and walled, with a succession of blind corners and an interesting "bridge" across the torrent.

It is a 15/20 minute walk into Pollenca, a beautiful little town with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. The Sunday market is a weekly highpoint for buying fruit, vegatables and other local produce. There is a nearby supermarket along the road to Port de Pollenca for the rest of the shopping. The location just off the main road between Pollenca and Soller makes getting into the mountains easy, although the high passes can be a touch interesting if the cloud comes down. It's also only a few kilometers to the coast and a 40 minute drive to Palma along the motorway.

I'd really recommend this place to hikers, cyclists, birdwatchers or someone who just wants to laze around the pool and enjoy the peace and bird song (not to mention the competitive local cockerels crowing away).
