Casa de Reyes became home to our family for one week in May when we celebrated the 80th birthday of our Dad - and we could not have chosen a better place!
The house is in a fabulous location - the views across the bay are breathtaking, it is set back far enough from the town to be quiet, the only noises we heard were the squeals of delight from the children as they played in the pool and the contented sighs of the adults as they enjoyed the views and the odd cool beer and chilled glass of wine on the terrace.
It is a 5 minute walk to get to the beach and the restaurants and cafes of the Pine Walk, which means guests have the best of Puerto Pollensa in so many ways.
The layout of the house was ideal for a party at included an 80 year old and a six and nine year old - and all the rest of us. The house is spotlessly clean, the bathrooms were great, the beds were comfy and the kitchen was fabulous. Making pancakes while I looked out over Pollensa Bay is a memory I will treasure.
Birthday cake and dinner on the terrace in the early evening was equally as memorable.
The house has everything you will need - it even had baking tins so we could have baked our own cake.
The pool was clean and bracing in early May and the loungers were set out so that everyone got the sun.
Malcolm, who looks after the property on behalf of the owners, stopped by to check everything was okay and he immediately sorted out a slow-running tap. Excellent service!
There are so many good restaurants along the Pine Walk and further back from the front that visitors are spoilt for choice. Some of the pastelaria sell amazing cakes, ensaimada and croissants. In particular the Pastelaria Payeras was fantastic, we would highly recommend it.
The house is in a great location, just 15 minutes to Pollensa and Alcudia old towns, which are beautiful - the Calvari Steps in Pollensa providing a great opportunity for some exercise and a family competition to reach the top - the young ones won the day - well done Molly & Della! An activity highly recommended.
My family wanted to celebrate our Dad's landmark birthday in a special way, all being together provided that, but all being together in such a fantastic setting did make it a truly memorable birthday and holiday.
We would highly recommend Casa de Reyes, as some of the other reviewers say, it really is even better than the pictures and you are sure to have a memorable holiday.
