This charming house, which is situated at the edge of the village, has been beautifully restored in the Mallorcan style. It is very comfortable, and has Satellite TV and Internet access. The spacious covered dining area overlooks a small courtyard garden with a profusion of plants and a fountain. Upstairs, the roof terrace has magnificent views of the countryside, with the Tramuntana mountains in the background.

A short stroll away is the village square with bars and shops, a beautiful baroque church and a Tuesday market selling local produce. The village also offers a sports centre with swimming pool and tennis courts, and is only fifteen minutes from the sea, many different walks, and is within easy reach of the historic city of Palma. This is the perfect getaway from the bustle of city life and grey skies!

The house has two double bedrooms (one with twin beds) and a bathroom upstairs, as well as an additional bedroom downstairs leading to a shower room. The living room, which has a large open fireplace, comfortable sofa and chairs and a dining table for six to eight people, leads on to a well equipped kitchen. The large covered terrace, which is perfect for al fresco dining, overlooks a small secluded courtyard garden. There is a weekly maid service if required, and linen is provided.

Campanet is a lovely old village situated in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains, and is virtually untouched by tourism. The square, with it's bars, shops and beautiful baroque church is a short walk away, and is perfect for lingering over coffee and croissants (or drinks), and watching the world go by. There are colourful markets every day of the week in surrounding towns and villages, and the largest antique market on the island is in Consell, a fifteen minute drive away. Deia, Valdemossa and the ancient monastery of Lluc, all make good day trips, and the drive across the mountains to get there is breathtakingly beautiful.

Golf: The Pollensa Golf Club is open to non members and is 15 minutes away by car. The club's challenging 9 hole courses have been described as some of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean, with a clubhouse, a restaurant which also welcomes non-golfers, and a swimming pool. Clubs, trolleys and golf cars can be rented.

Tuition can be arranged and there are regular tournaments.

Winter in Campanet

The relief to discover a winter idyll so close to home - the house was warm, welcoming and deliciously comfortably. We spent days in T-shirts walking on the beaches with blue skies and lots of sunshine. Home at night to sit in front of a roaring fire. The house was stocked with every comfort, spotlessly clean, great directions and frankly it is better than the photographs.
The restaurants are open and markets buzzing - I think this is my favourite time to come to Majorca. We are now set up to face the rest of the winter in England and are already planning to take the house next February so we can go to the famous Olive festival and see the almond blossom.

We arrived at the property a 3 am and found the key easily. We found the house as described in the brochure and took to it immediately. We loved the outdoor are and used the barbecue daily and enjoyed sitting under the stars. The wi fi was a definite asset and was used daily. We LOVED the village itself although we found negotiating the narrow roads quite nerve bending at times. The local swimming pool was a definite plus which the children really enjoyed. One word of caution for people with toddlers: the stairs are open and really need to be blocked off to prevent unsupervised climbing!! The local supermarket, pharmacy and cafes were as described and the locals were really welcoming. All in all, a really nice nice location with excellent access to the beaches. We would certainly go again!!

Picturesque village house

This is the most charming house, beautifully done with wonderful furniture & incredibly comfortable & well equipped. The courtyard garden is simply beautiful with the most wonderful views over the mountains & the al fresco dining perfect. The sitting room remains beautifully cool in Summer & in Winter with it's roaring fire is incredibly cosy.The bedrooms & bathrooms are beautifully appointed & the kitchen is very well equipped & obviously belongs to a real cook. Campanet is a charming old fashioned Majorcan village with everything you need & also incredibly convenient for seeing the best of the island. Some lovely beaches are close by, as is Pollensa & Palma & it is not far even to travel to the wonderful Formentor on the Northeastern tip of the island & the West Coast with such gems as Deia to visit. The surrounding countryside is incredibly picturesque with many wonderful valleys full of fruit trees & almond & Olive groves. It is all in all a really magical place at all times of the year which I love to visit over & over again.I cannot recommend it more highly for people of all ages, couples & families with children.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

A wonderfully relaxing week

We have recently returned from a super week in Sue's beautiful home. This is so much more a holiday home rather than house. It is really well equipped with those all-important soft feather pillows and really comfortable beds.The bathrooms are beautiful and the water piping hot. The courtyard garden is a delight and all the decor and furnishings both tasteful and comfortable.

The village is non-touristy yet bustling and we were able to buy all we needed from the local shops. The village bar serves a great pizza if cooking is too much effort and you don't want to drive.

The village is ideally located for exploring all parts of the island...some days we would literally look up at the sky to see where was sunniest and head off in that direction. Although late September we found the sun every day.

The house notes provide detailed info on local attractions, beaches and restaurants and Sue really makes every effort to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. Her car-hire recommendation was a real blessing and saved us a considerable amount of money. Although we were a couple holidaying alone this would make a great base for a family holiday or as a shared rental between friends. Do also read the visitors book for more tips and hints on local places to visit.
