This beautiful apartment has been furnished to a very high standard, and is in keeping with the village style, with terracotta floors and wooden beams. The property has central heating and air conditioning. The spacious living room has a fireplace, two large cane sofas and chair, a stereo, satellite TV , a DVD player and WiFi. The dining area seats six, with doors leading off to a sunny terrace, with sun loungers and garden table and chairs.. From here there are spectacular mountain views, the olive terraces and the church. The fully equipped kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. There is a double bedroom and a twin, both with fitted teak wardrobes. The luxury white bathroom has a large vanity unit, and hairdryer. This apartment is on a new development of about twenty, but has been stone-built to blend in with the village.

Arrival/departure times: Check in will be not before 3.00pm and departure time is 11.00am. These times can be flexible if it is not a changeover day, and if neccessary, bags can be left on property earlier/later if required

About Mrs Karen Halpin

I am married to Pat, and have 2 wonderful children, Carly and Dominic and 2 dogs, Kiki and Gracie. I am a self employed photographer. my interests are art, reading, theatre and film, and I love all animals. I first visited Deia in 1970 and was mesmerised by its unspoilt beauty. Now, 40 years later, it has hardly changed, just a few more restaurants!!

I have tried to make this property a real home from home, it's very comfortable, and has everything you would need. I am very particular about cleanliness, and have a wonderful cleaner, the property is kept spotless, which I think is of paramount importance. I keep the kitchen well stocked with basics, and there is a large collection of books and films available in the living room

What makes this apartment unique

The location is perfect, near enough to the village to pop out and back in a few minutes, and the view from the terrace is magnificent.

The beautiful village of Deia is located between the mountains and the sea. The peace, beauty and tranquillity of the area is second to none. The village has a slightly bohemian atmosphere, attracting writers, artists and poets., and has remained unspoilt by tourists. From the apartment there is a beautiful walk down to the beach, through the olive groves, this takes about 35 minutes, or a few minutes drive by car. Deia has excellent restaurants ranging from the wonderful local tapas bar, to the michelin starred Josefs, and El Olivo, and voted the best restaurant in Spain. There are 3 or 4 bars, an art gallery and a few gift shops. The local bakery is 2 minutes walk from the apartment, where you can get delicious bread and croissants for your breakfast, and also sells practically everything you will need for your stay. At the beach there is a beach bar, and also a very good seafood restaurant. Deia has an excellent bus service, so although a car is recommended, it is not essential.

We loved this apartment. It has a beautiful view, is nice and quiet, and has everything you could need. We have stayed in many self-catering places and this has been the best. Highly recommended.

A beautiful, well equipped appartment with every comfort taken into account. The appartment was spotlessly clean with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Fantastic views from the terrace and the joy of freshly squeezed orange juice each morning made breakfast a delight. There were great walks in the area and the towns/villages are the real Majorca instead of the high rise appartments that I had always imagined. I would thoroughly recommend this to everyone - we hope to return in the future."

Views - Stunning, everywhere you look.

Walk to the beach - Challenging but well worth it.

Walk to Soller - Tough for the 1st hour with breathtaking views.

Es raco d'es teix - One of the best meals we've ever had. Make sure you're sitting down when the bill arrives though.

Xelini - Charming restaurant with superb Tapas

Sky sports - Added bonus especially as the 1st test versus Pakistan was on.

The local bar on the corner - Give it a miss! Some people with serious attitude problems frequenting that part of the village.

All in all a wonderful week.

Be back again soon.

Exactly as described. Perfectly clean and well maintained.Everything in order. I would highly recommend this property to a friend or relative. Restaurants terrific, walk to beach a little strenuous but worth it for the swim together with something in eat and a glass of Rose wine at the restaurant. The village has a lovely mixture of designer chic ( La Residencia) and boho laid-back quirkiness as contrasts. Looking out over the ever-changing colour of the mountains with the sun setting on the terrace was bliss. The donkeys told us the time of day as they traversed the olive grove terraces every day at the same time. We did spot some celebrities. Bus service brilliant so no need for a car which was brilliant. Loved it and would love to go back.

A "grown Up" Majorca. Not a beach holiday, although small coves & sandy beach in Port Soller within easy reach. Need a car to travel the windy coast roads.
Accommodation is a real "home from home" Very relaxed if you want to stay in, with a private terrace & sky TV & a dishwasher! But beautiful Deia has wonderful restaurants if you want to treat yourselves to luxury food within 5 minutes walk
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Romantic Getaway
