Great little place
All in all a great holiday. I travelled with a group of 8 22-year-olds looking for a quiet villa with plenty of places to travel, and we found it here. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a friendly couple who made sure everything was in order before we unpacked.
The villa, although admittedly smaller than we expected judging by the pictures, contained everything we were hoping for. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen appliances worked without a problem and there was a lot of security (a safe is available to use and the main entrance is guarded by fencing secured with a padlock) - this aspect was stressed to us as we were made very aware of the crime that exists in the area by our greeters. A cleaner also visited every morning to keep the outside of the property in order (gardening maintenance etc), but he did not disturb us at all.
The property is situated at the top of a large slope of woodland, containing many trees and bushes; upon talking to the locals, we discovered this area had become known as 'Death Mountain', although I suspect that name is used in a tongue-in-cheek fashion. Beyond the slope, the view from the villa is wonderful; panoramic views of the sea make for an ideal horizon to gaze upon as the sun is setting.
If you want to get away from the areas which are heavily populated by English people, I suggest taking a short taxi to Mijas, a beautiful little town which immerses you in the Spanish culture with fine buildings, food and dancing. Make sure to ask about 'El Barellious', an important historical figure in the town.
This a very satisfactory holiday. I'd recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and well-equipped villa in Spain. I'd also recommend this place to families with children of all ages.
