We stayed at Villa Bonita in the last week of March - 5 adults, an 8 and 5 year old and a 9 month old baby. The timing of our stay could be a bit risky from a weather point of view, but we were lucky and had good weather most of the week. The 'gamble' really paid off, as the beaches, which are only a 5-10 minute walk away were lovely and quiet and the kids had plenty of space to run around and play football.
The villa is situated in a quiet road with a dead end, so no through traffic. It's very secure, with high walls and gate, so feels very private. The accommodation is very spacious and even though we were inside during the evening, due to the time of year, there was plenty of room for our party. The terrace is great - being on the same level as the lounge and kitchen, it acted as an extension of the living area and we spent a lot of time up there. It also provided a lovely view of the pool and grounds. The pool itself was very nice and even at this time of the year got up to c.27 deg, due to it being heated. The pool and table tennis tables are situated underneath the terrace, between the arches. We enjoyed using them and I can imagine that they are great during the heat of summer, as this area is out of the sun and must provide some welcome relief!
In terms of local amenities, there are a couple of places to eat 5 minutes away. We ate at the Chinese, which was ok, and had a takeaway from the Indian, which was really good. We also used Steve's bar on a few occasions - good for the live football on tv. In the same area is a minimarket, which as just about everything you could want. We used it when we had a few bits to get, but went to the supermarket in La Cala to do our big shops, as it is cheaper. La Cala town is just over a mile from the villa and you can either reach it by road, or walking along the beach. Although we didn't spend any evenings out in La Cala, it looked very nice, with plenty of places to eat and drink.
In summary - really good time, lovely villa, plenty of amenities close by...would recommend!
