Set just outside the pueblo of Alhaurin El Grande in the foothills of the pine forests of the Sierra de Mijas in two and a half acres of orange and olive groves, Finca La Luna is perfect for those who would like the peace and quiet of the Andalucian countryside but still be a short distance from the coast. The villa is split into two separate units (we only rent to one party you will not have to share with others) has four double bedrooms two bathrooms, two fitted kitchens, under floor central heating, air conditioning, power showers, SKY, Flat SCREEN TV, DVD player with library, built in wardrobes etc. Outside there is 120m2 of terracing with sunbeds brick built Bar-B-Que, table pergola,central gas no changing bottles,all the facilities you would expect of top class accommodation. You will receive your own set of keys including a remote for the gates so you may come and go as you please. FREE USE OF CAR!! We Take Pay Pal SMALL PARTIES WELCOME

Finca La Luna is fully fenced with electric gates,it is situated in an area called Dehesilla the most upmarket and desirable part of Alhaurin El Grande 500m from our local bar/restaurant with others nearby and is very easy to find as it is only 20 minutes from Malaga airport and the coast, it is ideal for those who have tired of staying at the coast but would still like to be within easy reach for visits to the beach and places like Benalmadina, Marbella,Torremolinos etc. It is also ideal for those who would prefer to head inland to Granada or Ronda and of course is perfect for golf, rambling, cycling, birdwatching, painting etc. NOTE ALTHOUGH WE SLEEP UP TO TEN, SMALL PARTIES ARE WELCOME AND THE PRICE WILL BE RIGHT !!! ON ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE DAYS WE HAVE LUGGAGE STORAGE,SHOWER,TOILET AND CHANGING FACILITIES. DON'T FORGET YOU HAVE FREE USE OF A CAR !!!

Gorgeous Setting For First Family Holiday to Spain

We had a fantastic fortnight staying in these villas at the start of May. Everything was exactly as described, but even better in real life! The property is spotlessly clean and well maintained & you get superb customer service from Kevin & Lynn - nothing is too much trouble for them, they really are friendly & welcoming hosts! The pool is an excellent place to cool off in when the weather is hot, or you can lounge & sunbathe on the terrace next to the pool. Also the outdoor seating/dining area was perfect for us to have meals out of doors. Having the use of the free car was very handy and we used it to explore the local area and enjoy the stunning scenery! Plus having free airport transfers was a huge bonus & took the stress out of travelling for us. I would highly recommend these villas if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday in a beautiful part of Spain.

Our Second Visit To This Lovely Villa

Another great holiday at Finca La Luna. A perfect place to unwind, relax and enjoy the sunshine and surroundings. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The villa is split into 2 units which was great for us as we were spending time with family. Kevin and Lynn were very welcoming and were around if you needed them. We were met at the airport and also taken back at the end of our stay which is a lovely touch. The car was also included for us to use as and when we needed. Our children had a fantastic time and especially loved the pool. There are lovely restaurants nearby and one of the best ice cream shops can be found in Alhaurin El Grande.
We had a wonderful holiday and plan to visit again in the future.

This was our fifth or sixth time staying at Finca la Luna , and as stated in my title it is just like home from home ! Kevin and Lynne are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Having previously lived in the area for a few years it is nice to have such a beautiful base to come back to, with the use of a car to visit friends.
We have never really had any problems when we have stayed , other than the odd light bulb blowing , but Kevin immediately came and sorted it out for us , in fact I know that what ever we may need Kevin and Lynne will be there to help if at all possible.
It is nice to go away and stay with people who we now regard as friends.
Hope to see you again soon ?!

Perfect Getaway

We spent 10 days at Finca La Luna, this was our most relaxing holiday in a very long time. Kevin and Lyn were superb, they made us feel right at home, the place was spotless and of a very high standard. We were also offered the use of a vehicle, that was also on top notch, however, we had our own vehicle.

We were offered the use of the laundry room with two washing machines and a dryer, and Lyn also put out the washing for us on a few ocassions.

It is a perfect place for young and older couples, people with children, OAPs, and even has a restaurant just down the road.

It is a place where we will definitely come back to visit.

Third visit to lovely Finca la Luna

Yet another great holiday at Finca la Luna. This is a great base if you enjoy walking and want a break away from the "costas" Once again Kevin and Lyn greeted me like family and my late flight, landing in the early hours was no problem for Kevin who picked me up at the airport. Lyn had even thought to leave a breakfast pack for me to save me having to go shopping early the next morning. The free car is a bonus but didn't get much use as most of the walks are a short drive away or no car needed as the lovely Sierra de Mijas is the backdrop to the villa.

As previously the accomodation was spotlessly clean and the fittings to a high standard. I have noticed a previous review complaining about the washing machine and dryer being in another building. Personally I did not find this a problem at all and was very glad of the dryer as there was a fair bit of rain during my visit.

The villa is a short drive from Alhaurin de la Torre and Alhaurin el Grande. Both have excellent restaurants and good supermarkets. I particularly enjoyed my meal at Cien Fuegos in Alhaurin de la Torre. The standard and quality of food matching some high class London restaurants.

Kevin was kind enough to guide me on 2 walks and Lyn was happy to advise on the best shopping and days out.

Would I visit again? I have already booked for next spring.
