Our modern 2nd floor self-catering, luxury apartment is in a prime position at Duquesa Suites which is situated in an elevated position with sea views and surrounded by an 18 hole golf course. Only 1km from the beautiful and secluded Puerto Duquesa halfway between Marbella/Puerto Banus and Gibraltar which are both just 25 minutes away. The apartment is a 15 minutes walk to the marina, bars, restaurants, shops and beaches. It has high quality marble floors throughout and is fully air-conditioned (hot and cold) in all rooms and offers free wifi to renters. It has a well equipped kitchen, with cooker, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster and kettle. The utility room has a washing machine. The lounge/dining room is well furnished with dining table for 6, two sofas (one of which converts to a good quality double bed), TV (Satellite for BBC/ITV) together with a DVD/CD Player, wifi connection, with patio doors leading onto an extensive SW facing terrace equipped with table, recliners, chairs and foot stools.

Golf: The area between Gibraltar and Malaga is a paradise for golfers with over forty courses to choose from and indeed the apartment is surrounded by Duquesa Golf Course. This course has all that an expert or amateur player needs. It was designed by the world renowned and prestigious Mr Robert Trent Jones. Located as it is with views of the sea and mountains, this course enjoys a well deserved reputation. there are other superb golf courses within 15 minutes of Duquesa and these include Estepona, San Roque, Sotogrande and the world famous Valderraman. Golf prices and other information about the courses can be obtained in the Port.

Alternative Travel via Seville/Jerez: There are now cheaper flights to Seville (2 and half hours driving time to apartment) and Jerez (1 and half hours driving time to apartment) . Also gives opportunity to explore Seville, Ronda and Andalucian mountains. More advice can be obtained on how to structure such a trip by contacting the owners.

Off season take advantage of low cost, Easyjet, Monarch and Flybe flights into Gibraltar and Malaga as well as Rynair flights into Jerez and Seville.

The apartments location was selected very carefully, being in a quiet and elevated position with views of the sea, surrounded by Duquesa Golf Course. There are lively bars and restaurants around the Marina about 15 minutes walk away together with all essential shops including a small supermarket, newsagent, internet cafe bank and gift shops. Puerto de la Duquesa is known as the new Golden Mile on the Costa del Sol. It is ideally located midway along the coast between Gibraltar and Marbella/ Puerto Banus each 25 min drive away.

The nearest beach spans both sides of the marina, on one side to the village of Sabinillas (20 minutes walk via the promenade) and on the other to the fishing hamlet of Castillo Duquesa. Sabinillas has a wider variety of shops including 3 larger supermarkets. The resort of Estepona is a 10 minute drive away with many shops and a large hypermarket and a long promenade and sandy beach. Inland you will find Casares and other attractive white towns in the mountains

  • This apartment is suitable for golfing parties or relaxing to escape the UK weather misery. A £150 (200 euros) deposit will be required per week to secure a booking. The full balance becomes payable 8 weeks prior to your arrival date together with a refundable damage/key deposit of £150 (200 euros). We spent 11 wonderful days in Puerto Duquesa, great weather, and visited a lot. We enjoyed very much the apartment which was well equipped and comfortable, as well as very calm. We had breakfast on the terrace with a marvellous view over the garden and the sea... We really enjoyed it!!
The description was accurate, the appartment very clean.
Puerto de la Duquesa is rather English than Spanish, which is quite surprising for travellers from France who are looking for Spanish food and traditions... We visited Ronda (very interesting) and some typical white villages.
We will come back!!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Comfortable Holiday Apartment with Amazing View

My partner and I recently stayed in this apartment for a week, and we were both thrilled with the quality of the accommodation.

Facilities were plentiful, with modern, clean bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. The complex itself seemed secure, with underground parking and regular security patrols.

The location of the apartment is ideal for many an excursion, and within our week-long break, we managed to visit Seville, Marbella, Gibraltar and Ronda. Phew!

Our 'days off' were equally as rewarding, as we relaxed on the balcony and enjoyed the stunning views out over the complex and to the sea.

All in all, a comfortable, cosy apartment which would suit couples or families at any time of year.

You can see that our property is ideally located to visit many iconic locations in southern Spain and clearly he and his partner only scratched the surface on things to see and places to go on day trips.
Once again when the sun shines it's clear that our guests find just relaxing on our balcony/terrace delightful - of course we are not surprised since we have the same experience when we visit ourselves.

It's a pity we cannot get out there more often ourselves -especially when it's grey and cold in the UK - other commitments.

We are glad that Philip and his partner enjoyed their stay so much and we are sure that they will be back to continue their exploration of this fascinating part of Spain and to soak up the sun on our terrace.

Another enjoyable stay in 335

This year we visited No. 335 twice as we liked it so much, making it our 9th and 10th visits. We came in May and had very good weather. The complex was quiet and we had the large pool almost to ourselves. Our second visit was in July/August - much hotter and although the complex was busier it was not crowded.
The apartment is very comfortable and spacious and the balcony, with its' excellent views is always a pleasure whether you need sun or shade. Self-catering is very easy with such a well-equipped kitchen and easy access to local markets and supermarkets.
For those with a car, access to Casares, Gaucin and Ronda is easy plus the further white villages of Castellar de la Frontera, with its' spectacular views towards Gibraltar and Jimena de la Frontera. Further on from Ronda is the Grazalema National Park. Grazalema is a typical Spanish town and is nice to walk around. Further on is Zahava, perched on a hillside with an old castle/museum overlooking a lake. Plenty of cafes in both towns. This a good day's excursion, with wonderful driving through beautiful scenery.
Tarifa, on the coast past Gibraltar, is a lovely town with old castle walls and lots of restaurants and bars, The coast north of Tarifa is ideal for windsurfing and has many beaches and cafes.
This time we visited the Roman ruins at Bolonia, north of Tarifa. The ruins back onto a wide, beautiful sandy beach with a number of cafes and restaurants.
A trip to Algeciras was also enjoyable, considering it a busy working port and town, especially if you need some retail therapy.
If you are into walking, especially in May when it is not so hot there are some excellent walks around Casares with maps available at the Casares Tourist Office. You may even see griffon vultures on your walk!
On the Casares-Gaucin road is a venta and farm shop selling goats cheese and other local products and If you time it right you can see the goats coming back from their pasture.
We hope to return next year for another enjoyable break.

They have provided a fascinating insight into the white villages behind the coast and have clearly demonstrated the wealth of one day excursions which are possible from our apartment. We can endorse their view, from our own visits, that there are really exciting one day tours which are possible from 335 in Duquesa. Combining this facility with the the comfort and convenience of our apartment which is clearly indicated by Hazel, we believe that this makes our apartment one of the most sought after on the coast. We are delighted that Hazel and David will return to 335 next year and very much hope they continue to discover new gems to visit in the area and continue to enjoy staying in 335. Return visit to La Duquesa

We thoroughly enjoyed a second visit to this lovely apartment! We arrived here after three days in Seville and appreciated the relaxing atmosphere of the complex after the bustle of the city. It was so relaxing to sit and read on the balcony looking out over the gardens and the sea. We re-visited a couple of favourite restaurants ( Slow Boat to China ) as well as one or two that we had not sampled before.

I recommend a visit to Tarifa which is only an hour away for a day's visit. It has wonderful views of Africa from the castle walls and has some great shops and restaurants.

We look forward to returning to the apartment again!

Great apartment, great holiday

This was my 2nd time at the apartment. I joined my parents in the middle of their holiday, since being a +1 at the apartment doesn't cost any more. The apartment was cosy, and I enjoyed relaxing by the pool. The weather was great, close to 30c most days even in September - with a nice breeze, especially by the port.

We returned to some of our favourite restaurants in Duquesa, including the popular "Slow Boat To China" restaurant at the front.

Duquesa is very close to the popular town of Estepona, and just further along the coast you can get to San Pedro, Marbella and onto Malaga. The toll roads are recommended, as they seem to be very quiet and you get great views along the way. In the opposite direction you can head over to Gibraltar, a very traditional British looking place (except with good weather!). Tarifa is also worth a visit. I went on a day tour to Tangier via Ferry on a previous visit.

I recommend this apartment for people for all ages, and it is suitable for both relaxing and site seeing style holidays.
