Places of Interest: The Balcon in Nerja town is an 8 min drive. Artists put on shows and exhibitions, particularly on Saturday nights. You can have your portrait painted here. Take a horse and carriage ride around town before your meal. The town is dotted with many interesting artistic shops. Nerja Caves were formed millions of years ago. The whitewashed Village of Frigliana lies perched on lofty crags just 10 minutes from Torrox. Donkeys carry loads through the streets too narrow to take vehicles. There is an interesting round Roman cemetery at Sayalonga, They have opened a visitors centre here, due to the number of people visiting the area. The Alhambra Palace in Granada is just 1.45hrs drive and dates back to 1333. The architecture and water features are breathtaking. Local Markets:- Mon. Torrox Costa. Tues. Nerja. Wed. Beaches/Walking/Diving/Golf/Tennis/Padel Courts: Torrox Costa boasts the 'Best Climate in Europe' The 2 kilometres long Prom and sands is dotted with exercise machines, play areas and showers. Sand artists produce fantastic sculptures on the sands. You can arrange Diving trips, Mountain Bike Hire, Horse Riding, Guided Walks and Jeep Safaries. Andalucia provides opportunities for serious and casual walkers in the parks and nature reserves. The attractive white Moorish town of Frigiliana is just 6 klms away. 3 x 18 hole golf courses are within 35 minutes drive; Baviera, Anoreta and Los Moriscos. The key to the Communal Padel Courts (Like outdoor Squash) is held at the little shop under Euromar 3 apartments just behind the courts. It costs 1 euro per person to hire the rackets and ball. Padel is similar to tennis but is played on an enclosed court about half the size of a tennis court. The main difference is that the ball can be played off the wall of the court, as in squash but scoring is as in Tennis.

Eating Out: There are 3 very nice restaurants just a couple of steps from the apartment. Las Pataleta is right opposite the Los Patios Complex and serves very good food with a delightful spanish atmosphere. In summer they serve a very refreshing beer in iced glasses. You can eat out very cheaply if you look for those establishments that offer 'Meal of the Day' There are many restaurants to choose from along the prom, all with fantastic views of the Mediterranean, serving English, Mexican, German and Chinese food. A 3 course meal at the 'Jing' is only 5.90 euros. El 5 Pino, located in the side road next to the Rui Hotel, serves excellent food. This restaurant is run by 3 German ladies who take pride in the presentation of their meals. The Hamacas Encarni right on the beach has been recently refurbished. It is an excellent location right on the sands and serves snacks and drinks. They even provide blankets on the chairs if the weather is a little breezy!
