Well fitted and equipped 2 bed/bath, sleeps 6 people, two sea view terraces.

This large and well equipped ground floor apartment is set in a beautiful haven in the heart of Costa Del Sol. A short walk to glorious, safe beaches. The large lounge/dining room caters easily for six people and is well furnished with digital tv for Britain & other ec countries plus dvd,cd and radio. Two sofas, one is an with easy action sofa bed. The modern kitchen and adjoining laundry room room are well equipped. The two bathrooms are in marble, one en suite both have bath, shower, bidet, wc and wash basin. These are to a high standard. The two terraces are equipped for dining and have sun beds and BBQ, they overlook landscaped gardens, two pools and marina. This is a secure gated community. There are security scissor gates at the apartment and remote controlled main access gate with private underground parking. The property benefits from a local Manager who is there to greet and help guests. Close to the main coast road A7 (N340) with bus routes and 10 minute drive to the centre of Marbella. Many attractions of historic and family interest. Supermarkets nearby. Malaga airport 30 minutes.

Beaches.: The Costa Del Sol is known for its fabulous white sandy beaches and its superb temperature throughout the year makes this a desirable holiday at any time. From the terraces of the apartment the coast of Africa can frequently be seen. The Cabopino beaches are glorious, they are Blue Flag Beaches, clean and with a lifeguard throughout the summer season. Either side of the marina the beaches have sun beds available for hire at a nominal rate. Each beach has a good chirringuito which serves good food including excellent fish, light meals or a cool drink. Cabopino beaches are designated as areas of natural beauty and protected. If you want total tranquility, walk from Cabopino towards Marbella. The beaches and dunes are totally natural and unspoilt often glorious with their wild flowers. A serene morning walk at low tide is from Cabopino to Marbella. In summer best in the morning before the heat of the day but a winter walk is delightful at any time. Binoculars in the apartment. It is delightful to watch the sun go down as a golden globe from the terraces or from one of the many beach restaurants dotted along the coast. Laminated maps are kept in the apartment for speedy access to favourites.

Shopping: This is known as an area of 'haute couture' and stylish clothes are everywhere. Easy shopping outlets are 'La Canada', a large modern shopping complex. Marbella and Puerto Banus are truly fashionable places. The Corte Inglez at Puerto Banus, Marbella, Fuengerola have each a good car park. and make parking easy. Public transport will take you to all of these areas. They also have excellent supermarkets called Hypercor. For really good (and cheap food) and clothing shopping, the local markets are fantastic. A list of the markets open on every day is in the apartment. The markets are excellent for all fruit and vegetables and much cheaper than supermarkets. Most sellers have grown their produce and it is truly 'organic'. Be prepared for larger quantities than maybe normal although they will serve 'cuaranto' (quarter) and 'medio' (half) kilo. The fish markets are an experience you should enjoy. Sardines are lovely or experiment with Lubina or Dorado. Marbella and Fuengerola both have excellent indoor markets, the nearest local market is La Cala. Food guide books in the apartment.

Eating Out: There are too many great eating places to attempt to give names but as a good first night, Da Bruno a very quick walk from the apartment, has great Italian food but with a Spanish seafood emphasis. However, book - the telephone number is listed in the apartment. Restaurants (ventas) catering for the Spanish workmen are always good and normally cheap. There is one on the A7 a short walk from the apartment. The Spanish share meals & restaurants willingly supply additional plates. Spanish custom is to eat late and a family think nothing of going to a restaurant for a meal at mid-night. The Germans eat early, so by aiming at around 7 - 8pm, seats are available. The Marina has very many good eating places from cheap to expensive but all along the coast you can eat cheaply and well. In Marbella Old Town, the Orange Square is delightful. Maps in the apartment. The churros & chocolate are sumptuous. Open every day but great for 'people watching' on a Sunday morning. Sundays, late lunch is a busy time with large groups of Spanish families. All restaurants in the marina are open throughout the year, some close for holiday periods in the early part of the year. It is interesting to try other areas and other restaurant up and down the coast. Eating outdoors throughout the year is normal but you may need a jacket in winter.

Supermarket shopping is easy to find. The nearest food shop to the apartment are in the small shopping complex opposite. The prices are not the cheapest but for things you run out of or convenience, it can't be beaten at three minutes walk away. The local garage also has large stocks and bakes fresh bread on the premises. For a main shop try the shopping areas at Calahonda and use Spanish goods where possible, they are much cheaper than the UK put there for the tourist. The Spanish supermarkets are well stocked and generally easy to use. Before paying check that they take credit/debit cards. Often you can be asked for your passport to verify your country of origin.

The fish counters in supermarkets are amazing to the deprived British and the fish markets in major towns such as Fuengerola and Marbella are a sight to be seen. Argentinian beef is better than Spanish and readily available. Pork is of a good quality but lamb not up to UK standard.

The apartment is easily reached via the A7 (formerly N340) which runs from the airport along the coast. It is within easy walking distance of the beaches at Cabopino, its many restaurants, chirringuitos and bars. The small shopping centre, two minutes from the apartment has a bar, pizzeria and convenience store. There is a good road system with easy travel throughout the region and attractions such as Ronda, Seville, Granada and Cordoba are well within holiday range. The modern shopping centre at La Canada is ten minutes away & those at Puerto Banus 20 mins, with high fashion stores. Many local restaurants of all types. It is possible to stay at the apartment without transport by making use of the local bus service or enjoying the proximity of the beach. It is an ideal centre for longer winter lets with all the historic attractions plus Morocco, Portugal and Gibraltar. Taxis are inexpensive & cars can be hired by for long or short periods. Cabopino golf course has excellent food

Other Activities: Shopping at La Canada, Puerto Banus, Fuengerola and Marbella.

Golf: The apartment complex is adjacent to the superb Cabopino Golf Course and twenty others are within 20 miles. Descriptions available on request.

The Cabopino Golf course has a well designed driving range just a short walk from the apartment and the restaurant at the clubhouse serves good food.

  • Please note that normally bookings are taken from Saturday to Saturday but negotiable. With each booking a non refundable deposit of £100 or equivalent euros per week booked is required to secure booking. Final amount is due 8 weeks before holiday commencement. With each booking a confirmation is sent by post plus information pack. Bookings of less than 7 nights but more than 3 nights may be accepted by the owner. Prices include linen washing and apartment cleaning at the end of the stay. A additonal cleaning service can be ordered for an additional £25 per week. Prices are not subject to VAT. Please note above prices are based on lets for 4 people. For additional guests please add £25 per week per person. Holiday lets over U.K. Bank Holidays will cost an additional £50. Milk and water is left for incoming guests. A refundable damage deposit of £50 is required for all holiday lets with children under 15 years of age.
  • Rates for early winter and winter holiday longer let periods for bowls or walkers can be negotiated. This area has many ex-patriot bowls clubs who only play during the winter because it is too hot during the summer! Memberships are available. For walkers and those interested in the many historical attractions the winter is the best time to spend a leisurely break in the apartment. The apartment borders the beautiful Cabopino Golf Club and there are over 20 golf clubs in the surrounding 20 miles.
  • All linen is provided with the exception of beach towels.

  • These bathrooms are a delight - in grey marble and very well equipped with showers, bath, bidet and basin. Toilets are screened from the rest of the bathroom with a half wall. The wash basin is protected from the shower spray by a glass screen. The side windows take the morning sun, with the scent of the flowers outside getting up is easier. Full linen is provided (except for beach towels) and there are many of the little touches of luxury that mark this up as a delightful experience.

  • The bedrooms are larger than normal and well fitted with wardrobes and sets of drawers. One bedroom has an ensuite and the other has its bathroom from an adjacent private passage. The layout of the apartment means that both bedrooms can be isolated from the main living area and so it is ideal for families with children or adults with different sleep requirements. The main bedroom has a French door opening to the top terrace and can accommodate a cot if required, due the airflow the bedrooms are never too hot for comfortable sleep. There are two large wardrobes in the main bedroom and one in the second. Both bedrooms have drawer units and the wardrobes have enough wooden hangers. If needed the lounge can be used as a third bedroom. The glass doors have blinds for privacy and bed linen is stored discreetly, enabling a quick and easy conversion to a family room. Both bedrooms are well furnished with good lighting, mirrors, alarm clocks and plenty of hangers. The safe is here.

Notes: The apartment is located in a very peaceful area but close to the A7 motorway and coast. Set in landscaped gardens with two pools, it is a safe environment. Community poolside loungers are provided in addition to those supplied for the apartment terraces. The apartment has an interior staircase/lift from the private car park underneath. A small new shopping centre has been built very close to the apartment. There are many restaurants at all prices nearby including the well known Da Bruno. Internet facilities are a three minute walk away. The area is rich in restaurants of all types and prices. The adjacent Cabopino Golf Club do excellent breakfasts and lunches with panoramic views. The area has abundant bowls and golf courses.. We have an English Local Manager who meets you at the apartment and is there to help. Proof of the apartment and facilities is that 8 of this summer's lets have rebooked. Local agent for booking trips and the pick up/return stop a short walk away

13 of this holiday lets have rebooked for either later this summer or next year - this speaks for itself.

Two comments regarding rebooking - 'yes please! We'd love to come again at the same time of the year. We'll be in touch as soon as we have some dates!!' Mr & Mrs Johnson - East Sussex.

'Time seems to be going so quickly and we cannot wait to go back to your lovely apartment' - Mr M Thomas, Cornwall.

The apartment is still quite new but in the two years we have let it out when not needed by ourselves, it has been gratifying to have had so many rebookings. The now constitute 78% of our bookings and already we have bookings for next (2007) spring and summer.

This apartment is excellent with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and a large comfortable lounge/diner. It really was home from home with sky TV, DVDs, books etc. The terrace has a lovely view and was great for relaxing with a glass of wine and a book!! Doreen, the owner, was extremely helpful before we left providing lots of information regarding restaurants, bars, shops and other activities. Polly & Peter, the managers, were especially supportive when we arrived. A car is not necessary as it is a short pleasant walk to the beautiful beaches & marina where there are excellent restaurants and bars. Beside the apartment complex is a small shopping area with a convenience store, bar and a restaurant/takeaway which is very handy. We look forward to staying here again soon & would certainly recommend it to anyone.

we had a very pleasant and relaxing break at Doreens lovely apartment.My wife and I found the apartments large balcony area very useful as we read or sunbathed.The local managers were most helpful and explained all the keys and other important details and were at the end of the telephone line if needed.The apartment is well positioned for the port/beach and the bar at the small centre nearby is very good.Do hope to return again soon to this well equiped and large property.

Very Pleasant weeks

After two very pleasant weeks, we landed yesterday in Zurich with regret that the stay was no longer. The places, the apartment, the eating and many others were special!We arrived at the destination easily, your Managers were kind and helpfuland we discovered after some days that all the things that are necessary daily could be found in the apartment! Thanks for all the details that you have carefully forseen for your guests, my wife especially was impressed by the kitchen's endowments. We explored the surroundings and also more distant objectives like Ronda, Seville, Granada, Gibraltar, Nerja and Frigliana and the conclusion was that we were lucky to have found your address and to spend two wonderful weeks.

This apartment is great! Clean, beautiful, and richly equipped, with lots of useful information/maps about the area. Lovely big terrace with a grill and a nice view over the sea. Fully equipped kitchen, lovely bathrooms and bedrooms, and a nicest dining/leisure room with comfortable furniture, tv, music, books, games, etc. We liked the swimming pools, too. The beach is on the other side of the highway, but the walk (over a pedestrian bridge, no stairs - accessible to pushchairs/bikes) only takes a few minutes so we couldn't complain. Walking distance from a number of beachfront restaurants and from a convenience store at a gas station. We enjoyed a few days at the beach and took a few trips to Seville, Granada, and some smaller places around (rental car). We are a 30/38 couple with a baby (2.5) and found it perfect. The other couple did not have a baby and they also liked it . Altogether - clean, lovely, nicely equipped, and quiet, short walk from the beach (and restaurants). We'd like to come back next year.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children
