3 luxury apartments in private villa, pool, sea views, tranquil and romantic

Our Apartments are situated in the village of Cotobro on the Costa Tropicale, worlds away from the package tourism of the Costa del Sol, but just an hour from Malaga.

The three Apartments share the private pool, each with their own secluded south-facing terrace a short distance from the warm, blue Mediterranean.

Cotobro is a very quiet conservation area with its own sheltered beach. However, in less than five minutes you can be in Almunecar, a town that boasts an abundance of shops, restaurants and bars. Stroll along the beautiful beach side Esplanade or visit the busy market.

Most water sports can be found nearby such as scuba diving, snorkelling, wind surfing, sailing or jet skiing. Golf is also very popular and there is a good choice of local golf courses.

There are many beautiful walks to enjoy, especially if you venture into the Alpujarras Mountains. Visit the famous Alhambra Palace at Granada or the historic cities of Seville and Cordoba, all within easy reach.

Zafiro is situated on the second floor of the Villa and is self contained and fully furnished. It enjoys a southerly aspect with the private terrace enjoying sunshine all day. There are stairs from the terrace to the private pool and spectacular views of the sea and Cotobro valley. Will sleep 2-4. Lounge/dining area, 2 seater sofa bed, circular dining table with 4 chairs, satellite TV, DVD player with a number of movies to enjoy. The apartment also has a wireless internet . There is a large picture window overlooking the pool with patio door to the sun-terrace. Fitted kitchen with fridge, ceramic hob and electric oven. Double Bedroom with wall to wall fitted wardrobes and double bed. Bathroom with shower, basin, WC, shaving socket. There is safe and easy parking right outside the villa. Advertised prices are for two people sharing.
About Rob or Heloise

We split our time between the UK and Spain and have really fallen for the charms of the Costa Tropical. We have many friends in the area and feel very much at home in Spain. I am a retired musician (guitarist) and enjoy the local music in the clubs and bars in the area. Heloise's background is in the restaurant business and she ran a very successful Thai restaurant in Chiswick/London.

Why Rob or Heloise chose Almunecar

Quit simply, we love the area (Cotobro) and the Villa. Almunecar really is a little bit of paradise. We have the beautiful Cotobro valley and the sea as our view. Add to that the fantastic Costa Tropical climate, lovely weather winter and summer. Not to mention the fantastic mountains around Granada, ski in the morning and swim in the afternoon.

What makes this apartment unique

The house and surrounding area are beautiful and almost feel like we are in the country, miles from anywhere, but a few minutes away we have all of the shops, bars,restaurants and night life you could ever need. The best of both worlds.

The Costa Tropicale has 19km of coast with 26 different beaches. Some of these are coves which are hidden away, others have plenty of beach side cafes and restaurants where Sangria and tapas flow. Enjoy real Flamenco in authentic surroundings. Visit the caves at Nerja, spend the day in our local water park or bird park. There are also many historical sites dating back to the Romans and the Phoenicians.Cotobro is situated between Almunecar and Marina del Este on the Costa Tropicale. Almunecar is a thriving Spanish town protected by mountains and only 5 minutes by car from the apartments, Malaga or Granada airport is an easy 50 minute drive on the N340 Motorway.

I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay, La Perla was of the highest quality and was so well equipped it felt like a home from home. The apartment is in a fantastic location, very peaceful with a breathtaking view but also close to Almuñécar shops, bars and restaurants. The Costa Tropical is a beautiful location and we are so pleased that we saw your advert on Owners Direct, which introduced us to this special part of Spain. The apartment is like a mini villa and provided everything we could want, the kitchen and dining areas are especially well quipped, with every kind of glass, bowl and cooking utensil. We were especially surprised to find the cool box, which was very handy during our trip to the beach and it was your attention to detail and hospitality that made our stay extra special.

We had a fantastic time in Rob and Heloise's apartment. Everything was to hand and they were excellent hosts with a wealth of advice when needed. The apartment was spacious, the views spectacular and the pool was a godsend after a hot day sightseeing. Everything was nearby and the area is well away from the tourist trap which made a pleasant change. Overall a superb holiday.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Fantastic Apartment

The unit was very nice, with wonderful views and a beautiful pool (shared with the other units in the building). The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The kitchen was nice, and we enjoyed grilling on the terrace. The unit was very clean, and I would gladly recommend it to friends. A car is a necessity for this property, and there is plenty of on-street parking and there is plenty to do within driving distance. I highly recommend a day trip to the Alhambra in Granada. The unit is not handicapped accessible as it is reachable only be a fairly long staircase, but is well worth the climb.

Rob and Helloise are the perfect hosts. Not the least bit intrusive, welcoming, open and "around" if you need them. Beautifully presented accomodation in a great position with a fine view to the sea. All was clean and comfortable with all of the creature comforts to hand. Our hosts love of plants was obvious by the abundance of shrubs in boarders and numerous tubs. All looking healthy and giving a lift to these visitors from the uk most especially at this time of year when our own gardens no longer look at their best. And the weather. Were we just lucky or is this the norm? Warm sunny days - high 70's - and pleasant evenings. When's the next flight out?

It was indeed a lovely holiday in Spain! This place is amazing it's all you could ask for! The apartment is lovely with a beautiful sea view:) The pool is just perfect! Very close to the sea and shops! We loved it so much that we have already booked again for next year!
